The wait is driving me insane

They sent in our paperwork to be reviewed by the insurance company last Friday and she told me to give it a week and then call her back to see if she's heard anything. Im on pins and needles here. I can't stand it. And now my kids are so excited and keeping saying things like ...mom when you lose the weight we can do this or that. My daughter wants to go clothes shopping with me and help me pick out fashionable clothes (Lord help me) and my son wants me to play tennis with him. They are making me more impatient I think.

Just hang in there, Mellie.  Maybe they'll call YOU before you can call THEM!!!

It's wonderfully sweet that your children are excited for you!!!  I'm sure it's contagious!!!  You're giving your entire family a gift in wls!!

Be sure to keep us posted!

I agree. Waiting feels like forever. Later, you will remember it as not being that long at all.

What wonderful support and motivation you have that your children are so interested. It is obvious that they love you very much (as they should). Those special days will happen for you. I have faith.

Wishing you the best!

Thanks Tia. You are such a motivator. You should be one of those motivational speakers.

Im hoping I hear something before Friday but if not I will try to be patient until then. I can't stand it though. It's like waiting to hear if you got a great job after an interview.

My kids are great, they are the best. I can't wait to be a good a good inspiration for them.

Mellie.....
I can totally relate to your feeling! I just went thru it! My paperwork was submitted on April 2 & I called on the 8th. My approval was done then, it just needed the final signature, so I got the official go ahead on the 10th.
This is what many people here told me......BREATHE! Also, call your insurance company to make sure they received all the paperwork & see if they have made a decision.......they may tell you before the doctors office even knows! I actually knew before the surgeons office knew!
My girls were also excited......my oldest resembles me more, so she is kind of freaked out. She says my weight is the only thing that keeps our identities seperate! But she is also excited to take me shopping so as I can look more "hip". My youngest is the worry wart, so she is just scared, but she still makes her little comments of excitement.
You will get thru the "nervous" phase & soon move right into the "excited" phase! Good luck!

Loser's visualize the penalties of failure. Winners visualize the rewards of success.
