Easter pics and an update on Dad!!!

Well, I have nothing but good news today!  We had a good Easter; my aunt cooked dinner for everyone.  I had planned to go to PA and cook for my parents and the 4 of us because Mom just had knee surgery to repair two tears in her meniscus on Good Friday, so it was a welcomed invitation.  Mom's surgery went well and she's doing great.  Kylie had a great time with her cousins for an egg hunt (turned into a trip to the ER for us, but Kylie is fine, just a bruised inner knee - she initially couldn't bear weight on it) and I had a great time because Lacie napped during dinner; little pleasures for me! LOL  Some pics of the girls are below.  Lacie will be 4 months old on the 16th, where does the time go???  I've been doing well with back to losing.  I'm down 9 pounds in the past 3 weeks (Ellen's Summer Challenge on the Lap Band board) making that a total of 35 pounds gone since 12/16!

More good news; actually GREAT news!  Dad got blood work back on his cancer numbers and had a follow up CT scan.  He's had just 2 chemo treatments so far; his third is this Friday.  The blood work showed that his CA (carcinogenic antigens) have gone from 42 down to 20 and the CT scan yesterday showed that the two lung tumors have shrunk more than 70%.  He has two more chemo treatments and after that they'll give him radiation for the bone cancer.  I'm not sure what is going on with the cancer in his lymph nodes, but I suspect that either the chemo or radiation will give it some help.  There will be no miraculous recovery for him, but in the short term things are looking GREAT!

We are looking forward to going to Hershey Saturday.  Mom (retired NGC) will be riding in a motorized scooter whether she likes it or not and Dad is staying home to rest since he has chemo the day before and a needle the day of.  Kylie is excited to be going and I'm excited to meet up with you if you are going.  Darla has my cell phone number, but if anyone else wants to catch up with me at Hershey, PM me for my number!!!  Here's the girls!!!

Congrats all around.
First, on your beautiful family.
Second, on your weight loss - you're kicking our asses over on the lap band board.  I'm running the damn thing and practically in last place - haha!
Third, so glad for your dad.  That's awesome.  I't's been almost 10 years since my dad passed away - how lucky you are to have him around for your kids.
Fourth, glad Kylie's knee is OK.  She really kicked some butt getting those eggs, eh?
Have fun on Saturday.  I love HP - we have a family outing there in July when Ethan's cousins come in town.  If it weren't for lacrosse, I'd join ya!
Peace

Ellen,

I haven't been up to date on your Lapband challenge. Can you inform me by PM? I've been MIA on these boards. School is kicking my ass!

Thanks Ellen!  As for the challenge, you have less weight to lose than I do.  I had a year where I wasn't able to use my tool so now I'm workin' it baby!
