I have to go to Ms. Desserts this afternoon to pick up a birthday cake for my webmaster...

Nope, not gonna shoot you!!!  Passing you a pack of s/f gum and some Icebreakers Sours s/f mints - if you don't have any of these, get some!!!  The sours will actually come in REALLLLLY handy after surgery when you can't drink for 30 minutes AFTER you eat.

The trick is to have gum or mints in your mouth because it's pretty icky if you mix it with said desserts.

Hey, I'm no professional, just trying to help.  If you HAVE to have a bite, do the 3 bite rule - the first bite because you want it and it's always the best, the 2nd bite to tell you that the first bite was REALLY good, and the 3rd because it's your last bite.  Anything beyond that is overkill.

SIGH.  I feel your pain.

I'm just mad at a society that demands FOOD for celebrations... ya know.

I hear ya.  Unfortunately, society's way of celebrating with food won't change because you have wls.  And some people don't get it that OUR view on that changes - we suddenly become "anti-social" or whatever.  I say, do whatever you need to do to be comfortable - FOR YOU. 

Having just survived what feels like an entire month of food-related celebrations, I feel your pain.

The good news?  After wls, those bagels won't be nearly as enticing.  Having bread ball up in your pouch like lead will do that for you.

ya know... I know that after surgery all of this will be DUST IN THE WIND for me. that it won't bother me at all.... it just irks me that now it calls my name.

I want this surgery so badly... more now than 2 months ago when we first started looking into it.


and now with today being my last TEST... (and i've passed them all but the mental stuff).....  and i know i can do that if we just SET A DATE...

Can someone else do it?

Nope.   I'll be out there after St. Agnes.  I know where it is.  most folks don't.   I'm taking him out for lunch tomorrow (sushi) so I don't have time to get it at lunch...

I'll survive.  I think for me it will be the half price bagels that get my attention more than anything else.

Where is Ms. Desserts now?

Hmmm.. Maybe I don't want to know, they used to be about 3 blocks from the office here... The dulce de leche cheesecake used to call my name...

I am glad it is not too close... I do admit to buying donuts for the office today just because I like the smell... I have no desire to actually put it in my mouth luckily.   Lee thinks I have lost my mind!
