Good Morning and Happy Easter

My Easter celebration was actually yesterday when I had dinner with my family.
21 of us spent a very enjoyable 1.5 hours over dinner to celebrate my
Moms "82" birthday and Easter.  I was stuffed but not overly and
even had leftover Chicken to enjoy later today.

Today will be quiet with Church and taking Cuddles to the groomers this
afternoon :  Petsmart is open today and while I am sorry Kathy has to work
I love the fact that the groomers are open so I can get my furbaby bathed
and get her spring haircut.

I hope everyone has a great day and I will see you all on the boards
tomorrow.

darla.....
Good morning & Happy Easter to you too!
We also celebrated with our family yesterday, so today is more calm. It seems a *****illy outside, not exactly what I would expect for Easter! My oldest daughter has to work today, my youngest is still in bed & hubby is outside putting brakes on my truck. I just called to wish my brother & his family a happy easter & found out they are taking my nephew to the ER. He is 5 & has been sick since Friday, but this morning he has a very high temp & the doc told them to bring him in ASAP.....apparently his symptoms have worsened.
Anyway......happy Easter to All that may pop in today!

Happy Easter!

Today is a lazy day for us... This is the first Easter I have not traveled to be with my family... so we are just home hanging out.  I am going to bake a ham for dinner, but that is the extent of our Easter plans...

No Easter basket from my mom this year, and I am not missing the candy!!  I did make hubby a small one, but it has only 3 choclate eggs and gummy bears in it.  We are a healthier house this year, and for that I am greatful!

I do have to go grocery shopping and do laundry today, had a ick day yesterday and did nothing!
I also found the first food my new pouch rejected and spent most of the day on the couch.  Apparently it doesn't like baked chicken legs - to much fat?  I don't know, I did not eat skin, ate less than half of one leg, and ate slow tiny bites, but alas, it was not to be...

Chicken can be a little rough on the baby pouch:  my suggestion is to wait a while
before trying it again.  You are still in the trial and error stage :  Take heart it
will get better.

Have a wonderful day,

I hope so!
I held down liquids today, soup and pudding...

Then I got the idea that I was going to have a small piece of ham for dinner... I only managed about an ounce and it came back up :(  I don't know if it was simply too soon or if I just shouldn't eat ham yet either.  I have had pork ribs and lunch meat ham that was fine...  Just gonna take it slower tomorrow and see how it goes.

Hope everyone had a great Easter!

Happy Easter!

I just wanted to give you a pointer on eating chicken.  At this early out I could not do baked either it would be too dry for the pouch.  I am suggesting you make it in the crock pot with sauce or just with chicken stock and veggies, or chicken fricase (sp) cooked in tomatoe sauce onions green peppers and some potatoes.  It always help when it is well lubricated and soft.

When this happens make sure to follow the rest of the day with drinking tea, soup and liquids to let the pouch heal and then you will feel better.

Take care and have a wonderful day.

Hugs,

Thanks Cira!
It was definately not dry... I just salt and peppered it and baked in chicken broth...  It would have been the same as crock pot chicken but I did it in the oven.

I am thinking it must have had to do with the fat content since I did not remove the skin before baking...  But I don't know :( Will wait  few months and try again!  Pork and Beef are fine...

Good Morning Darla,

Happy Easter and Happy Birthday to Mom!   I am glad that you had a wonderful time with the family yesterday.   Glad to know that Cuddles will get spoiled today.  Sorry Kathy had to work today. Give her my love when you speak with her.

Today my daughter, fiancee and granddaughter is coming over and Gino is going to barbecue. The kids will have an Easter egg hunt here inside and outside in the yard. Gia is sick with a fever, cold and now throwing up since this morning. Little Gino has  a cold too so I think that Gianna will be next and will spend her Spring break miserable.  sighhhh....

I hope you enjoy your day.

Thank you so much for the card and gift you and Tia sent to the kids.

We all love you both so much!

Hugs,

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Happy Easter Afternoon!

It felt good to sleep in for once.  Mike's kids already get two Easters and Easter baskets (which they sooooo do not need), so we're not really doing the Easter thing this year with the exception of a ham dinner.  We sure don't need the candy either!

Hope everyone has a wonderful sunny but chilly day!

Heather
