Hi Bernice,

Welcome to the Maryland board!   You have definitely come to the right place for unconditional support and love.   I'm one  of the 'olidies' (5 years out) who still tries to keep up with what is going on here, though not as much as I would like, but life and work get in the way sometimes.

Jump right into things.   No question is dumb .. we've all been there.   AND if someone talks down to you or is rude to you .. consider the source and maybe they are not worth your time!

Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

Loser's visualize the penalties of failure. Winners visualize the rewards of success.

Mom I hope you rest in Peace knowing that you were loved and will be missed. Keep love alive in your       heart as I know I will. You are now an           and I know you will be looking down on us from above......... I am OK.......

Welcome to the Maryland Board, Bernice!!!!!  This is a great group of people, and as others have told you, just jump right on in!!!  Like Mo, I'm somewhat of an "oldie," too, at almost 4 years post-op.

Keep doing your research - a well-informed patient is the best kind!

Hugs,

Tia

Welcome Bernice, Good luck with the research. After the seminar and all the research that you are doing, you will have more questions than when you started! It just works that way, the more you learn the more you question. I had VSG on 2-24-09, and I still have questions. Everyone on the site is friendly and will answer any questions you have. I know Upper Chesapeake has a good reputation when it comes to Bariatrics. If you want to discuss anything you can P.M. me anytime. Congrats! you have made the best decision for your health and happiness!  Leslie:)
