Stepping Up and Introducing Myself
Hi all. I want to step in an introduce myself. My name is Bernice and I'm from Aberdeen, MD. I have recently taken the big step of finally deciding for sure to pursue bariatric surgery. I have my seminar scheduled on the 21st of this month with Upper Chesapeake Bariatric, and I'm taking the time now to do even more research.
Looking forward to meeting other Marylanders and gaining support from people who know what I am about to go through!

Hi Bernice and Welcome!
You will find this a very warn and helpful place. Please feel free to call on us in any way. Also jump in and participate as much as your schedule allows.
Congratulations on making this very brave and challenging decision for yourself. No matter what option you decide to pursue, I feel you will find it most rewarding and life-changing!

Hello Bernice & welcome to the Maryland Board!
Congrats on making the decision to have WLS.....its a big decision and honestly, for me, I can say it is even overwhelming at times! I am still pre-op, and I can tell you.....you will find more information here than you would think! During my research phase, I stumbled across this site, and well, 2 years later I am still here! This is an awesome group of people & they all have sooooo much input! If you ever have a question, just post it here & I am sure someone will answer it for you!
As it was said earlier, the weekends are pretty slow here......but during the week, it can be hard to keep up with all the posts being made!
Again, congrats & welcome!
