I dream of Soda....

I'm trying so hard not to drink anything carbonated.  Its been 9 weeks or so since my RNY - but, I am literally dreaming about soda.  Like, I'll dream that I'm guzzling a gallon of it and wake up in a panic that I'm going to be sick.

Just thought I'd share my unexpected soda withdrawal issues.

I can't relate cause I have always been a water buffalo but I can tell you that a couple months ago I did try soda and it hurt like hell!  It was not the best feeling ever.

I can relate! I want soda every morning. I have had a sip a few times but never tastes the way it used too so that makes it easier.

Last night was my first food or soda dream...  Odd that this came up this morning!

I was at a family dinner (after school - which I have been out of high school for 11 years now!) and for some reason couldn't decide where to sit... So I stole my mom's seat - drink and salad!  I drank part of a diet pepsi, and ate two bites of a salad and was so scared I screwed up.  Then my clock went off thankfully!

I would rather not dream about getting sick! LOL

when i was early on in my South Beach Dieting adventure  I used to dream of chocolate chip cookies eating them like cereal in a bowl with milk.  I don't even like chocolate chip cookies....

You can have diet soda if you pour it over ice and take a spoon and stir all of the carbonation out.  I have done this a few times when I was really wanting a soda.... maybe 4 times in the last 6 months, and it's really just a few sips that I want.

If your dreams continue, you may want to try this to see if it helps make them go away.

I think I'd rather dream about soda though, then the dead employee that I dreamed of yesterday that was found in my office.  UGH!

I was sure I wasn't the only food dreamer out there!

They are odd - kinda reminds me of when I was pregnant and had the "pregnancy dreams".  The soda dreams are very vivid.

I'm trying to hold strong to not giving in!  Not because of the carbonation - but - because of the other bad things that go with it (caramel coloring, craving other sweet things....).
