I CAN NOT BELIEVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, I have had problem after problem with paperwork to finding out that I was denied. UHC denied me Thursday saying that they were missing paperwork and then Friday they said I didn't meet the criteria. I spent all weekend crying and praying. I decided to not worry about the whole process anymore, well at least for today. LOL. And my cell phone rang with a strange number, I don't usually answer those calls but something told me to answer. I answer the phone and it is a rep from UHC. And she is talking to me about the quality of my calls over the past few days and out of no where she says so your all set for April 28th? What are you talking about? I was denied! So, she continues to tell me that the the denial was overturned today and that I am now approved and a date is set for April 28th!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What??????????????????

 I AM APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish I understood how an insurance company can tell you what day you can have surgery.

what happens if the doc is not available on that day?

Apparently Rose requested that date. At least that is what the rep from UHC said. I will take ANY date. LOL

My insurance originally gave me a Feb date, but that is just a formality I was told - they can extend it for up to 6 months.  Once I had a date, Dr. A's office just let the insurance know and I got a new letter with the new date on it (after surgery... but I did get it!)

CONGRATS!!!!!  It will get here in no time at all.

Thank you...... You were right. I stayed on top of it and made phone calls last week and they over turned the decision. No appeal. That is so crazy!!!! And they already have a date. April 28th. That's 3 weeks!!!!!!
