Eastern Shore?

Any news on the meeting tomorrow night in Easton? I know Lisa was supposed to be looking into it.......has anyone heard anything?

I havent gotten any emails about it yet. Usually I get something. I don't feel comfortable going yet since I havent had surgery but I fully intend to go afterwards. I'll let you know if I see anything come through in email.

     Hello! Not that it matters, but I have not had surgery yet either. I am still pre-op but really wanted to go......to hear some info & to meet some folks who have been in my shoes. So please know you wouldnt be the only one pre-op!

Well that's good to know I wouldnt be alone but I dont know I guess I just felt like maybe I would be intruding or something. I would like to go though. Let me know if you hear something and maybe we could hook up together while we're there.

      Sounds good! I dont think it would be intruding....... the meetings are for all stages of surgery, or at least thats the way I understand it. I am going to try to call Lisa later, so if I hear anything I will post it here!

I agree - generally speaking - it is important for pre-ops to go to support groups as well as post ops. There is so much to be learned for pre-ops that will help you prepare. I went to support groups every month when I was pre-op.

The Eastern Shore support group is very small and extremely informal.  Everyone is welcome, we have had many pre-op people attend, so don't feel that you are intruding or shouldn't be there.  This is a great way to interface with others going through this journey together.  I haven't heard from Deb, the leader, but just left her a message, so hopefully I will hear something this afternoon.  I'll be sure to post as soon as I hear.

Wanted to let you know that unfortunately there is no support group meeting this month.  Deb is in California and won't be back for another week.  I will keep you posted for next month.  Usually it is the 2nd Thursday of the month in Easton.
