Morning Ladies! We had a great time in NY too! I have to get the pictures off my phone - I didn't take too many of them but we did take some!
The skyride was funny - we managed to get to the Empire State Building - got up to the 80th floor then they told us it'd be 25 minutes before the next elevator up to 86th floor - so Jerry decided to have some exercise, and we climbed up the 6 flight of steps. All I could think of while my body was screaming - was "What in the nuck are you complaining about - the firemen had 100 pounds of equipment on them when they were trying to climb the floors in the Towers...." I felt very painful, but in a good way. I got a greater appreciation for those fallen heroes.
We never made it to Statue of Liberty but plan to do that the next time, we did find the Bubba Gump shrimp restaurant, and they seated us right next to the window so we could see all of the Times Square traffic buzzing by. Needless to say, we stayed in there a good while nursing a drink to ease our aches and pains. And we sat dumbfounded at all the traffic going in and out of Toys R Us, you woulda thought they was the only Toys R Us in the whole world!
Then we walked up and down looking for that perfect pair of sunglasses for Jerry and the perfect purse for me. When I asked where Chinatown was, they said, take the Number 1 to Canal Street, I was like never mind.
Tia, you'll be glad to know that I bought a real Aigner from Macy's. You don't have to worry about bailing us out.
My best friend Amy and her daughter Megan were already waiting by the Penn Station, and they grabbed the first bus to Baltimore, hence why I didn't ride back with you guys. I felt bad. WAHHH!
But I tell ya, next time we are coming - they are not coming with us. They complained about all the walking they did, all the way back. Nothing like a downer to a good day.
All in all, we had a great time, and are looking forward to coming back! Jerry would like to make it an overnighter, so maybe we can get group discounts? Just a thought?
How was Carmines?

Sorbitol -
I thought of you as we were on....actually, I can't remember WHERE we were, but a group of men had purses spread out on a bedsheet, and apparently, cops were coming, because they picked up the bedsheet and purses and hustled on out of there!!! LOL!!!!
Not really sure what your friends were expecting, but you're right, nothing like people whining or being down to ruin a good day! We'll spend more time together next time, hopefully, and yes, I'm going to look into an overnighter.
BTW, Darla has your HP tix!!!
Hugs,
Tia
