My daughter's Update

Well, daddy is breathing a little easier today.  I know I was a little on the hyper side last night but it was the first time as a father that I had to deal with something like that.  It scared the crap out of me and from what I learned last night it was for good reason.

It turns out that when the surgeon opened Katelyn up to operate on her it was discovered that her appendix was on the verge of bursting.  As I confessed yesterday, I am not an expert on appendicitis. However, I am pretty sure a burst appendix on a 10 year old girl isn't a good thing.  She was in surgery for about an hour and in good spirits last night.  If all goes well she should be released sometime today or tomorrow.  Whew!!!

Thanks again for all the well wishes and prayers.  I've really learned over the last few months to power of prayer.  The Lord hears you and you sure can't go wrong with Him on your side.  Everybody have a great day and take care.

Oh Andy! That is wonderful news. I am so glad it all turned out OK.

Andy, that's great news about Katelyn!  I'm glad to hear you are doing better today and that she is on the mend.  btw, a burst appendix isn't good for anyone; 10 or otherwise.  Great that they caught it in time!

I'm glad everything went well!! I felt so bad for you, because I know how badly you wanted to be there with her. Daddy should send her a get-well card!! :)
