Yesterday was an odd day for me, but here goes...

B - Scrambled egg w/cheese

S - Saltines

L - Cottage Cheese

S - Yogurt

D - Veggie Soup

still not quiet there with my protein, I need to stop and get the isopure brand from Vit Shop, I keep making shakes, drinking one or two swallows and dumping them because my stomach starts to roll over and over... Just not liking what I liked before surgery... (I know, I was warned!)

3 of 4 vits,  I forgot one last night!
32 oz of fluids - will do better today, promise!

Textured Vegetable Protein - It's made by Bob's Red Mill and is usually available where the organic stuff is in the grocery stores.  1/4 cup has 80 calories, 0 fat, 7 total carbs, 3 g sugars and 12 g protein.  It's nutty and crunch like Grape Nuts.  It's like tofu in that it takes on the taste of whatever it's cooked with.  It's num-yummy!!!  Packaged like steel cut oatmeal, etc., for about $2.49 a bag.

Pre-op for me, scrapple would've meant on toast with cheese and mayo!!  Now, one piece does me!!!

Yes, but I tend not to eat food that is described as "textured" LOL  Actually, after reading some posts about the TVP it might be good as just a crunchy topping for other stuff, but unless I go vegan, I don't think I'd use it as a protein source.

Boxer Heather said it made an AWESOME fried rice.  But yes, I, too, tend to get my protein from meats, yogurt, etc., but it's a great yogurt topping.  I also thought about using it as a "crumb" topping combined with cinnamon and Splenda on top of apple crisp.
