Good morning Tia!
I have been feeling a lil rough. I woke up Saturday with a very sore & stiff neck. yesterday, I went to the doctor because I now have what feels like a pinched nerve in my back plus the stiff neck. My doc said I probably just pulled a muscle.

Today I am grateful for:

1] flexeril!

2} that the week is almost over! {I overslept today so my daughters were late for school!}

3} my paperwork is being submitted to the insurance company today for approval!!!!!!!!! All the glitches were worked out & now I am really am in the waiting stage!

4} for good friends!

Hi Heather!!

Baby yourself until your back and neck are back to normal.  It always amazes me how painful a stiff neck can be, forcing you to turn your ENTIRE body just to look at something!

I know you'll be on pins and needles waiting to hear about your approval!!!  Please keep us posted!

Have a great, pain free day!

Tia

Good Morning, All,

OMG - What is it with mystery pain just when you need to rest???? As you all know, I have been running myself ragged lately. So last night, I skipped the gym again, went home, did some work and went to bed around 11PM, usual time. As soon as I laid down, I got these pains in the top part of my foot/ ankle. I have had pains in my arches, but not for a looooong time. I tried getting up and walking around. But it never really eased until around 3AM when I got up and walked around once again. Needless to say, I had trouble getting up this AM. Sigh! I have some major sleep scheduled this weekend!!!!!

OK - I was intrigued before. Now I feel I really do have to check this TVP stuff out. maybe I will be able to find some this weekend.

Tia - Enjoy your time off next week. it sounds glorious!

Mo - Good luck with the dentist. Congrats on being able to appreciate your self. That is a wonderful thing. Too often we are self - critical.

Nessa - Try not to watch the scale too much. I know that is easier said than done and something, I do not always do well myself. Just stay the course and you will be rewarded over time.

Angie - Enjoy your time with your parents. It is wonderful to be able to have that support and caring in your life. My parents have been gone for some time now. I still miss them. I feel there was still so much more we needed to share. It is a blessing that you still have them.

Darla - Enjoy NY. I can't wait to hear all about it. I will see you tonight at the gym. I really need this.

Julie - Congratulations on the blessing of your son's caring. That he would even offer such a thing, says so much!

Heather - Congrats on the insurance submission. Hope you feel better soon!

Today ....

1 - Although work is still busy and I have accepted that we will be implementing a day or two late, I feel a sense of accomplishment / progression. I feel like it will all be OK. I will survive this. The good news is that there will be no serious repercussions if we go in a day or two late. We do not always have that luxury.

2 - For the understanding and support of friends who support me when I back out of an anticipated activity. I do try to and want to do it all  sometimes. It is hard for me when I have to accept that I cannot. I appreciate so much that this is not held against me!

3 - Sleep - when I am sleep deprived, I appreciate sleep all the more. I am so looking forward to some major zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzs this weekend!

Blessings to all!

Hey Deb -

I've got a certain pair of shoes that don't really offer much in the way of ankle support, hence, when I wear them, I will get top of foot/ankle "cramps."  No fun!!!

Don't worry about NYC, it's not going anywhere.  I'll let you know about the fall trip, but for now, concentrate on taking care of yourself and getting some much needed rest.  I swear, between you and Kathy, you're gonna worry us to death!!!!!!!

The Giant at White Marsh is pretty good - I bet they have TVP.  I found it in the same aisle with the organic stuff - the Newman's Own, etc.

We'll miss you terribly on Saturday.  We'll have to get together when we get back so we can have a Show & Tell!!

Hugs,

Tia

Thanks Tia! I like the show and tell get together idea! Even now, my mind keeps spinning trying to figure out how I can make the trip too. It is taking everything in my power to say no to myself. But I know I need to do it.

Debbie so sorry about your foot. I hope you can get some relief.. Maybe you do need some good SLEEP..... That s good that nothing is held aganist you. In life nothing should be held aganist anyone as life is way to short and mistakes and misunderstandings occur. I try not to hold anything aganist anyone......You can only do what you can do..Take care and hope you poor foot feels better.

1.  New York, New York!!!!!  New York, New York!!!!

I'm so stoked that we are about 44 hours away from going to NY!

Darla, on the pick pockets - shoes, underwear and bras are good places for money if you needed some advice on that.

Tia, Gucci Giant?  LOL you crack me up!

2.  Also, I'm stoked that we have two weeks and 44 hours until we go to Hershey Park!!!!!  YAY!

3.  I'm happy that we have 3 pays this month!  (I'm paid on Wednesdays) - yesterday's paycheck was nuked by several bills; but that means I don't have to pay them on the 15th or the 29th!

4.  I'm grateful for my friends here on OH!  I would have been begging Sheperd Pratt into taking me in had it not been for you guys!

5.  New York!  Did I mention New York?  New York!  New York!  Here we come!!!!!

Morning Malitol -

Darla's fears are unfounded.  Her Mom and Aunt were convinced they were followed for 10-12 blocks many years ago by a pickpocket.  Ummmm.....no.  If a pickpocket can't get what he wants quickly, he'll move on to the next target!!

Can I state, yet again, that I feel very safe in NYC?  We're not going to the slums, etc.  We will be with the rest of the schmucky tourists.  Just exercise the same caution you would shopping here at home!!  And use good common sense!!

The Gucci Giant in Pikesville - where women wear fur coats, jeans and heels!!!!!

Yay for 3 pays!!!  However, it just means that May's first payday is too late in the month!!  YIKES!!

I called Sheppard Pratt - they have a double waiting for us!!

Hugs,

T

Gucci Giant is not an unusual term. I have heard this used often over the last decade or so. So much so, that I have used it as well. There are a couple of Gucci Giant's in the Baltimore Metro area! I don't know how these sayings get started. But once they do, they have a life of their own!
