I love the Vitamin Shoppe!!!!!!! I scan the vitamins to see of they have any that are chewable or liquid. I have tried some. For the core bariatric vitamins, I still use bariatric advantage. But I have used Stuff from the VS as a back up. I have found chewable Biotin and sublingual B12. I have even found liquid Vit D drops that I add to protein shakes. I do buy large canisters of protein powder for the flavors I like. They have several that are available in single serving size. That is great to try before you buy big. They also sell in single serving tons of protein bars. You really have to read the labels well though. Only some meet our criteria. The have Isopure, which is great for protein early out post op. It comes in tons of flavors and they will sell it by the bottle. The flavor can be a little strong for some folks, but i****ers down OK. They also have an assortment of canned protein shakes.

I am looking for high protein, low carb, low fat, low calorie. Some of those bars are meant for body builders. Others have too much sugar. Since my focus has been on losing weight while getting the nutrition I needed, I focused on high protein, low calorie the most. But I watched the sugars and carbs because I did not want to have a bad reaction. Some of them I like More than others. But that is a matter of personal taste. They have those that are like sugar wafers. But I like those too much and cannot trust myself to stop at one. So I don't but those.

When you go to your pre-op class, they will give you all of the specifics on the numbers. They will have sample labels to show and discuss with you that will make all of this easier to manage. Also, as has been said before your tastes may change. What you liked pre-op may not appeal to you post op.

I buy my Designer Whey there - unflavored and Strawberry (they also carry Vanilla and Chocolate).  I used to be big tubs of Isopure whey protein powder in Strawberry flavor, I liked it pre-surgery and for a couple of months post-op, now not so much.  Yes, your tastes do change!  For my first few months post-op I bought the isopure clear drinks - 40g protein in one bottle.  They saved me getting in my protein early out.

When I was first post-op, I bought the Isopure drinks - but be careful, because there are a couple different types as far as number of carbs, calories, protein, etc.  I've found the one by you to be extremely helpful.

I also like to buy the Power Crunch bars there (they're the evil bars Deb's talking about), as well as the Pure Protein bars.  They also sell soy crisps - a nice little protein snack.
