3 THINGS FOR TUESDAY!!

Good morning!!!  Gotta be quick, as I'm setting up a birthday breakfast for the boss!!!  But...don't worry, you can't get rid of me that easily!!

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  That poor Happy's dew claw, which bent backward and was hanging by a bloody bit of tissue, came right off when the vet clipped it.  Her nails grow really quickly, even though I have them almost drilled down.  Apparently, she caught the dew claw on something and when I got home yesterday, she raised her paw as if to say, "Look!  Boo-boo!"  I called the vet right away and they got us right in.  She was supposed to go in today for a nail trim and some other stuff, so we just had it all done at once.  So......$255 later, Happy's okay!!  Thank God!!  It could've been a LOT more painful for her.

2.  Fresh bagels - Okay, okay, how about just the smell of them?  I stopped at an authentic Jewish bagel shop this a.m. - it smelled heavenly!!

3.  That I only hit the snooze alarm once this a.m., thereby allowing me to do what I needed to do early and get in here to prepare things.  But.....what is UP with snooze alarms?  Why do they buy you 7 or 9 minutes?  Why not round it off to 10?  LOL!!

Hope everyoone has a great day!

Hi Tia!  I'm glad your Happy is okay.

I really need to do this today.  Things have been a bit rough in my family.

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  The hospital is taking really good care of my dad.  We are really hoping his lung and kidney function improve enough for him to come home soon.

2.  Snuggly puppies.

3.  Video games that help keep your mind off the crap in life.

Good Morning, I continue to be really stressed. I just decided on the way into work that I just can't get it all done. I am exhausted. So I will not be going to my favorite classes at the pool tonight. I need the time to work and get things done and perhaps get to sleep at a decent hour. It kills me to give up my class tonight. It is one of my favorite things. But I just have to. I am also concerned about the NY trip on Sat. I don't even know if my ticket is transferable. But if there is someone who does not have a ticket and would like to buy mine, we could work something out.

I hope all of you have a great day and that all your cares and worries resolve themselves.

Today, I am grateful for:

1 - A great Pilates Reformer Class last night! Our trainer was into some of the more challenging stuff last night. P.S. Darla did GREAT!

2 - A beautiful day!

3 - My OH Family

4 - That the SF ice cream is gone! I knew I should not have bought it. Now it is gone and I will not buy it again!

Debbie God Morning. Sory to hear about the stress. I know you hate to miss the pool...I hope you can get some rest as you sound like you are in need of a good siesta. I would love to go to NY, but we are camping again this weekend... My hubby loves the SF ice cream too so I try not to buy it because he will eat it all in one day..I think its because he is diabetic and craves the sugar substitute... I hope you can get some rest and dump the stress...Have a good day..

Deb -

I'm so sorry you're feeling overwhelmed - but not a bit surprised.  You need to slow down!!  It's hard to tell ourselves that we can't do it all - as much as we might want to.

I'll check with my Mom and see if she wants to go to NYC.  Not sure how her asthma is - it was acting up this week, but I'll get back with you!  And I'lll check with the bus company to see about transferring your ticket!!

Hugs,

Tia

Jenn -

I'll reiterate the message I sent you last week via PM!!!!

I'm crossing my fingers that your Dad gets better quickly!!!  I know how hard it is having a loved one in the hospital.  I think that's all I did last summer!!

Give me a snuggly puppy anytime!!!  Even though Happy was in a bit of pain, she still wanted to worm all over the bed last night and lay draped over me!!!  LOL!!!

Hang in there, honey!!

Glad that Happy is Okie Dokie !!!   Poor baby :( .   Poncho played that 'aaaaaaaaaaw my paw' card his WHOLE life trying to make us feel guilty about the declawing thing .. lol.

I've got to be quick here too .. sooo ..

the usual .. life, work, happiness .. etc..

AND ..

Crock pots ... we all know that I am not over domestic, but I've been spoiling Mr Mo with this dinner cooking thing (If I fix dinner from scratch more than 2 nights in a row .. he gets used to it . lol) ... I mentioned needing to defrost a whole chicken I had in the freezer so I cook roast it . and she said .. OH NO .. put it in the crockpot FROZEN .. let it go on low all day .. and it's perfect when you get home.     I figure tonight I'll either have a perfect whole cooked chicken .. or really good shredded chicken that I have to pull the carcas out of . lol.

gotta run .. have a wonderful day.

Love ya,
Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

Hello Mo. I always wondered what would happen if you put a frozen chicken in the crock pot. I am glad you are trying it. Please let me know how it turns out. I hope you have a great day.....

((( MOIE )))

LOL at the memory of Poncho!!!!  I was REALLY scared, because I know how painful broken nails can be on them.  PHEW!!!

Let me know about the chicken!!  I put whole frozen roasts in the crockpot and they turn out fine, so you should be okay!

Hugs, love and miss ya!
