Good Morning Maryland!
Hello everyone!
Let me reintroduce myself in case many of you forgot who I am. My name is Candy, and no it's not the reason why I had the Lapband!
Long story short about how I dropped off the face of the earth and am scrambling back.....
Hubby got laid off a couple weeks ago, so I had the Funk Machine to deal with, although I just wanted to grab him, shake him like the Shaken Baby Syndrome, and slap him and tell him to snap out of it!
No, I didn't go that far! If I did, Tia would be on here raising bail money for me. GRIN
Then, many of you know that I had our Richmond house up for sale for a steal.
My aunt in PA was ready to move into a duplex in Lehigh Acres, FL (that would have been a cool getaway!) and the deal fell through.
She gave her landlord notice, had everything boxed up except for her beagles Tick and Tock, and the cats. She had a truck reserved and a moving crew from church ready to stand by.
Well......I literally begged her to move into our house in Richmond.
So, in order for this to happen, the house had to be taken off the market because she was going to be a long term tenant (thank God). And because she was moving from a house and is 66 years old, she wanted her own furniture in the house as she wanted to make it "her home."
I have done enough moving to qualify as exercise for the next month! I had no clue that we had that much furniture in the house - and we gave it away to the Salvation Army, even though they stood me up on coming to the house.
Anyhoo, the house will be tenderly cared for - which it needed.
Hubby is doing okay, and the unemployment is eh...just enough to pay for the roof over our head and his truck payments.
Me? I blew Spring Break moving furniture! Man, that was like the worst Spring Break ever!
But..............about New York?
I'll be there!!!!!!
I'm really busy this early part of the week, so I may not be on the board much; but I do want to say that I missed you guys and thank you for the well wishes! I'll be back soon, and if not - you can catch me on that bus with the Weeble on the side of it that is stealing off into the sunrise Saturday morning!

I'm glad things worked out for you with the house in Richmond.
It may not have been the spring break you wanted, but at least you had the time available to take care of what needed to be done. Good for you!

Candy glad you are back we missed your smiling face. I hope things work out for you and your hubby. I pray he can get a new job soon. This economy really sucks...Glad to see your aunt moved to the house that was a great thing...Sorry about your spring break but just remember there is always next year...
