WTF

So I had some extra time this weekend (the grands didn't come) for the first time in a long time.  So I decided to do a bit of window/clothes shopping.  I noticed there was a new clothing store that opened near me, so I decided to go in.  I start looking at clothes and the salesperson comes and makes some polite conversation and then proceeds to tell me that the true "plus size" clothes are in the back of the store.  I have worked so hard to finally get in an XL - size 16.  Do I still appear like a 3X? So I thank her and proceed to that part of the store.  She had sizes to 5X.  I looked around a little more and then left.  I wouldn't buy anything from her if she was the last store on this planet.
This is so discouraging, after we work so hard, we can allow ourselves to be shot down by one comment.

*HUGE BEAR HUGS*  I know that sometimes I can appear bigger than what i really am......i think it may have something to do with the fluidity of the excess skin.  personally, I'd tell the ***** to f off and leave right then and there LOL

You know I still have "fat girl syndrome," . . . the I don't want to make anyone hate me because then they might turn on me and say something about my weight and then my feelings will get hurt and I'll start feeling bad for myself thing.

Maybe in another 40 lbs I will be able to stand up for myself and thell her a thing or two.

Oh gosh Lisa this is my biggest fear!! *I* still cant believe that I wear a size XL shirt 16 in bottoms so I feel awkward in the regular section. I feel like everyone is looking at me thinking I dont belong there. So if a salesperson was to come up to me and tell me that I would prob melt and fall to the floor in shame! I am soooo sorry you had to deal with this rude person (cause she was for making an incorrect ASSumption). Be proud of your success and dont let this lady steal your joy!

That is exactly how I feel.  Eventhough the clothes fit, I am always wandering if people are asking themselves why I am looking in that section.  OMG, will it never end?

Lisa - I STILL feel that way and I am buying size 6 jeans now!  I don't feel like I belong in that section at all.  My mind is seriously screwed up...lol

WOW a size 6.  How great is that?!!!  I will never see a size six, but I am so happy that I'm in a 16 right now.  I would really like to get in a 12.  After that, i would be happy.

Lisa, never say never. I kept saying I would be happy in a 10, 8 I would be estatic. My body obviously has other ideas. lol   I honestly never thought I'd be in this size, and certainly not this soon!  But I'm not really worried about what size I end up, I just want to be healthy and stay that way!
