3 THINGS FOR MONDAY!!!
Today, my grateful things are:
1. Ren - This woman just rocks!!! She put together a little bday celebration for me on Saturday night at Boomer's Bar & Smokehouse in Middle River. She and Pete, who's pretty dang cute, picked me up and we met Debbie, Boxer Heather, Nessa, Ren's cousin Kelly, Diana N., and a friend of hers there. The music, by the band, The Fashionably Late Band, was awesome!!! The drinks were pretty watered down, but I still love my margaritas!! The band dedicated a song to Nessa and me (Nessa celebrated her bday on 3/14), and a man at the bar (and his wife), bought me a drink. Another man who was there at the bar with his wife guessed my age to be, in his words, "no older than 35, there's not a wrinkle on you!!" God bless him!!! LOL!!! I had a good time watching some of the girls dance; my only "complaint" is that it was SOOOO loud I couldn't hear ANYONE talk!! I'm bar deaf to begin with, but add a loud band in and even sign language wouldn't have helped!!! Ren also made me a BEAUTIFUL flower arrangement (I'll get pics up sometime this week), that rivaled ANYTHING I've seen in a florist!!! Even if I couldn't hear it, I could FEEL the love!!!! Thanks to Deb for getting me home - here's hoping you're not still driving around Hawthorne following detour signs!! Thanks to Nessa and Boxer Heather each driving almost an hour each way to be with me!! You guys rock!! Thank you again, Ren, it was just what I needed!!! MUAH, MUAH, MUAH!!!
2. Super Walmart - I bought 8 boxes of apple drink mix. Need I say more?
3. That after this week, I am off for S-I-X work days!!! Woo-hoo!! It's gonna be a slamming busy week here, so bear with me. I expect you all to pick up the slack!!!
4. NYC is on Saturday!! I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited I could almost pee my pants!!!
I'm leaving today at 2 for another podiatrist appointment. My foot is better, but not 100% yet, so I see another cortisone shot.
Have a wonderful day!!!
Tia
Have a great week and try not to get to busy getting ahead!
Today is my first day back at work... Trying to get hubby outta bed and motivated - I can't believe I am actually anxious to get there! 10 days off must have messed up my brain, or maybe it was daytime television!
Grateful things for today:
1. I am alive! I have been feeling this way since my RNY experience.
2. I am losing, and healing!
3. I get to go back to work today!
Hope everyone has a happy and losing Monday!
Good Morning everyone:
Tia : Glad you had a good time Saturday night .... Hope you were not hung over LOL
Sorry I didn't make it but I literaly did nothing Saturday - not even get my hair done
so can we say BAD HAIR WEEK coming up LOL
I met Pete yesterday when I met Ren for the bowling benefit : and yes he is cute &I had such a good time with them : and yes Ren survived the rental shoes
Today I am grateful for :
1. That I have my reformer class tonight : I have not exercised since last Monday so I am so looking forward to class tonight.
2. That I got to see Cira Friday night : shes exhausted with the commute but otherwise
seems fine,
3. That I managed to beat Pete in one of the three games yesterday .
4. For the beautiful sunrise this morning
So I hope everyone has a great day today
Nope!! The drinks were so watered down that I don't think I even had a buzz!!! No drunk shots of me!!
I typed most of the day yesterday, so I knew I wasn't going to make bowling, and KB were with their mother, anway.
I finally got to talk to Cira yesterday, for a quick few minutes before I ran out to Walmart. It was so good to reconnect with her.
Have a good day!!
Tia
I am so glad you had a good time. It was worth the drive! Thank goodness for a Garmin as I would have been so lost otherwise. The bad was great but it was loud. I had a GREAT TIME and it was fabulous to meet a bunch more of my online support group.
and you're right that Pete is a cutie...
That storm yesterday was insane.
i'm in a heavy turtleneck today.. COME ON SPRING!
Oh i love apple drink from walmart. maybe i'll go to westminster and arbutus this weekend and get some more!
my grateful things
1. first and foremost the friends i've made here! meeting all of you lovely ladies on Saturday night just makes me so anxious to get past this PRE-OP stage. I wanna be where you are!!
2. DOMINION... it's a card game but it's got so many ways to play it's NEVER the same game twice if you don't want it to be. I LOVE THIS GAME... i got my tush kicked three times yesterday in Dominion. AND we can play online (if anyone is ever interested)
3. Aaron. my webmaster. soothes my tattered nerves. fixes things. and gave me an awesome site that i'm learning to maintain myself!
4. that my daughter trusts me enough to share her most private and intimate moments with me. this tells me that she will be able to come to me NO MATTER WHAT... and I can be there for her.
(for those that remember the tender age of 16.5 with a very special boyfriend if you know what I mean)
Up this week:
brian's Venous Doppler
Nessa's blood work and Upper GI Series
both nessa and brian have cardiology
Thank you again for making the drive!!! You are a hoot!!!! Loud? What????? O M G!!! My ears were still ringing on the way home!!!
You will SO be there in seemingly no time at all. It goes so fast and I can't emphasize enough that you should take pics and measurements to document your progress - it's hard to see otherwise.
I was so touched to hear of your daughter's story, and it kind of hit home yesterday when I got the call that K had become a woman!! Granted, a very not-so-happy woman right now, but still!!! I tried to play up the good side of things, but other than, "It feels like a diaper!!" I don't think she's buying it yet!!! LOL!!! It's awesome to see these young girls blossoming into women!!
Good luck with all the tests - just one step closer!!!
Hugs,
T
My grateful things are hard to grasp today so some are quite basic
1. I'm grateful I am still alive
2. I'm grateful for those who keep on checking on me. I love you so much for doing that it makes me wanna cry
3. supportive work environment although they may not understand what I'm going through or how serious it is (even after i sent them a link to it on webmd) they still graciously let me work from home starting tomorrow.
