Hi,

Rainy over this way, trying to get some work done, but I keep thinking about the whole WLS thing. I feel like my head is swimming in information, questions and so on.

I have talked to a few people at my work ( sort of my personal committee) they seemed supportive of what ever decide.

I have talked alot with my wife the last few days. She wants me to be healthily, but she does have some concerns and fears. In part over how I would adjust to the new eating after the surgery.

In the past when I was "dieting" I could do it for awhile and then.....

So she is concerned about me getting the surgery and then blowing it - maybe even literally.

Ugh - I wi**** was easier to decide.

Hi Victor.  I'm pre-op so  I can't give you the after experience.

I do know that this surgery is nothing more than another tool for me to use or abuse.  IF you follow the rules and do what you are told you will lose weight and keep it off.

i know how to lose.  I want to keep it off... that's my problem.

I too am concerned that my husband will not follow the rules after he gets to goal.  it's a risk i have to take.

Ticker is from Day of Surgery.. weight goal is personal preference as I've MET my doctor's goal

Hi

Didn't get on here till late.  I have been on a national PJ Day today I have been in them all day and watched my soap marathon. I had a rought work week I had class in DC for three days and two doctors appointments yesterday so I said to myself you deserve a veg day!!

Victor if you have decided to have surgery just go for it. You will drive yourself crazy with all the thoughts you have pre surgery!! I know been there done that!!   Forget about what your wife or anyone else thinks and concentrate on how you know you will do. Trust me when I tell you your new tool (the pouch) will not let you blow anything post op, it is true what they say "the pouch rules". Having concerns and fears are just normal.   We are all here for you.

Hugs, Terri
