Rainy Saturday Check In
I will let you know how much I rock Monday night after work LOL
It might be a long day... And since Lee has pretty much worn out comp time and used some vacation this week.... hopefully next we can do a pretty much normal week!
Once I get my clearance for "real" solid food, we need to do lunch one day!

Nessa.....
Good afternoon! Yes, it is rather rainy here on the E'Shore too. A very gloomy day thus far. I was up @ 6, getting ready to go to some indoor yard sales. Hubby & I went......there was one that had Nike's! A case of brand new Nike's.....only womens size 7 tho. So we got our daughter a pair.....$8! That was a better deal than at the outlets!
We then ventured to the natural food store. I am checking out some stuff for after surgery. I found the TVP you all have talked about.....I was expecting it to look like granola for some reason....and it looks more like dry oatmeal. The price wasnt too bad either.....it was $3.69 for a 1 lb. bag. What exactly can you do with TVP? Do you eat it dry on top of other foods, or do you cook it? A lil help please! LOL
I also bought some tofu to try.....my in laws are vegetarians, & they love tofu. The protein value is really good. I am not sure how I am going to use it tho.....again, any suggestions are welcomed! I was very impressed with this store......the prices were, what I considered, very reasonable!
Now I am home.....oldest daughter is at work, hubby is asleep on the sofa, youngest daughter is in her room listening to music & doing algebra, the rottie is asleep, and the puppy is in puppy prison for eating one of hubby's shoes while we were gone. So all is quiet.....I am gonna finish this post & finish some laundry, and then I am going to clean out my closets! Fun, huh?

TVP I pay about 2.89 a bag at Shoppers. it doesn't look like oatmeal to me... it does look more like granola. it's crunchy at first too. I just sprinkle it dry on my yogurt, in my oatmeal or on my salad.
but i do it right before i'm ready to eat or else it starts to reconstitute and gets NOT crunchy.
