didn't like my dinner last night

I bought some whole grain pasta and a low sugar sauce to make a dish last night. The sauce was like $4 something. It was called Muir Glen. Well, I cooked the pasta and added the sauce and ricotta cheese and mozzarella cheese. It was not cheap but it was almost tasteless. I was so disappointed. Does anyone have any ideas of what I can do to it to make it good. I just don't want to waste it. I am thinking that the whole grain pasta did not taste nearly as good as whole wheat pasta too.

I have not used this. In fact i avoid cooking pasta at home for just myself. However, I was wondering if boiling the pasta in bullion, i.e. vegetable, chicken, etc. would add some flavor to it. The only downside is that it might add too much sodium.

Too late now, but going forward, I hear Dreamfields pasta is the BEST thing right now for us carb-conscious folks. A friend fed it to her fussy DH last night and he could not tell a difference between regular pasta and this stuff. I think she said it's only 5 grams of digestible carbs per serving.

Anyway, I'd try jazzing your dish up a bit with Basil or Italian seasonings...

fresh basil and fresh garlic woule probably help.  Also, parmesan cheese has a very strong flavor that might help as well.

as for sauce   safeway selects have no sugar added as do some of the marinaras at trader joes... only about 2 dollars a bottle.
