O/T Computer Worm Threat.....please read

I just wanted to make sure everyone is aware of this threat. No one really knows the consequences, but it's expected to 'explode' April 1.  It's taking PC's over as 'slave' machines but they do not know for what purpose.

I read a different report the other day that says the 'owner' of the worm is even keeping ahead of the hackers trying to bust it so that is creepy. The article the other day also said a good way to see if you're already infected or not is to check your windows updates.  If your updates are working, you are fine, if they won't install you may have a problem.

but it appears to be worse for networks than home computers

of course if you are keeping your security updates current you should be fine as this was patched back in October 2008

I used to do similar stuff for a living but never got paid for it so unfortunately I stopped following all that and now feel rather stupid. lol.
