3 THINGS FOR HUMP DAY!!

Woo-hoo!!  We're halfway there, people!!  It's still cold out, though, what is UP with that????  I had a great bday dinner with the family - we went to a local restaurant - Mom and Dad wanted to take us somewhere "nicer," but this was great and I'm always worried about straining their wallets since they have double bdays to take care of.  Afterward, we came back to my house, gave my brother his presents, had some cake and ice cream and just chilled. More of the same tonight, but I just asked Dad to pick up some Pizza John's pizzas.  I'm wiped out this week, and while I hate to wish my life away, can't wait until the week before Easter!!

Today I'm grateful for:

That I am so blessed to have such wonderful people in my life.  My family, my outside friends, my work friends and, of course, all of you!!  This board and its posts inspire me, whether or not it's related to wls.  And really, isn't EVERYTHING in our lives related to wls?  I LOVE the friendships that have developed in the four years that I've been posting - truly, I can't imagine my life without all of you.

Of course, I've had my struggles in my 29 (42) years, but as I look around, it's easy to see that it could be much worse.  I like to think of my life's theme song as, "The Dance," by Garth Brooks.  It talks about how you sometimes have to experience pain in order to appreciate all the good things you've had.  And that's me - I try to look for the positive in everything, even the bad things - failed relationships, jobs, lost friendships, because without the pain, I might NOT have had the chance to experience all that I have.  Like The Man says, "I could've missed the pain, but I'd have had to miss the dance."  And I don't want to miss a thing!!

Here's to another 21 years with all of you by my side!!!  Thanks for everything!!!

Hugs & love,

Tia

Hey sweetie!!!  OMG!  You should SEE what my brother ate at HIS bday dinner - holy hell!!!  That boy had the equivalent of a heart attack and a bypass on a plate.  First, he had Caddy Fries - french fries with 2 kinds of melted cheese and ranch!!  And then.....they had AUCE fried fish - so he had two plates of that!!  I just wanted to puke!!!!

Yes, I love Garth anyway, but that song just gets me, ya know??

I'll have to come up and see the new table!!

Okay, where are you writing down all these appts.?  It's SO easy for something to get lost in the shuffle, so don't be too hard on yourselves.  If you need a cardiologist, let me know, I'll give you the name and number of mine - he's with Mid-Atlantic.

Hang in there baby!!  It'll all get done!!!

LY,

T

O M G!!!  And I didn't help by making him a 10 pound (or so it felt) carrot cake with homemade cream cheese frosting!!!  I'm sure he had that for breakfast.   If he doesn't soon stop, I'll end up having to wrap a rubber band around his stomach myself.

Between work and his diet and other stressors..........I told him if he dies and leaves me to fight HER for the kids, I'll kill him.  SIGH.

BTW, Happy gave me a bday card with dog biscuits inside!!!  LOL!!!  Mom said that was all she (Happy) could afford!!

Oh, yeah, they're bookends!!!  BTW, I asked B why he liked carrot cake but not carrots.....he looked at me like I was a tard, and said, "Because you can't TASTE the carrots."  Methinks I'll have to start trying to disguise more veggies - I know there are cookbooks out there for that kind of stuff, but I can't be too adventurous with him.

And there was protein in the cake, too - 4 eggs - cream cheese in the frosting - you're right, it's HEALTHY!!!!  LOL!!
