OT: Safe For Today

So far 80 people have been laid off from my company. The word is there will be another 100 or so.  I've been told my job is safe for the time being. 

This economy really sucks. I have a mortgage and a daughter to feed. Talk about STRESS.

Not to mention if I lose my insurance I'll be back to square one for WLS.

PLEASE keep me in your thoughts and prayers.

Lisa, Sorry to hear this. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. What type of work do you do? I will keep my ears open in case I hear of anything that may be up your alley.....Keep positive thoughts...

It's been a very tough day... Especially since I'm one of the people who has to disable the laid-off people's network access.  It's been very emotional.

I just went through this about a year and a half ago. I was at my last company for 8 years and they decided to close down in MD and move everything to NY.  Now it feels like that is happening all over again.  I hope and pray my job will be safe from the cuts.

Oh Lisa I feel your pain. I will keep my ears open or if I hit the lottery I know alot of people I would help. Back in Dec I was very sick and had to pick my son up from school. I asked him if I stopped at the store would he get me a mega millions play slip. He told me no because he thought they wouldn't let him get it because he wasnt 18. Keep in mind my horoscope had been saying you will get lucky with money within 2 weeks. I did not stop and instead had my f in law just play me random mega tickets. Well my sons gf got up Sat and checked her tickets and said to me oh my god all our birthday**** She said I know you have been playing them for at least 7 years and you have them right. I had to tell her no and I thought she was kidding. She was right they did hit and guess what I had no damn ticket.If I had not have been sick I would have been the winner.... So as you can see my luck sucks....
 I will say a prayer that I hit and if I do you will have your surgery......No problem... I hope you keep your job. Keep your head up and ask God to save you. I am not religious but at times like this a little more praying never hurts......Take care I am thinking of you and your family..

I will keep you in my thoughts. It is tough out there. I worry about this daily as well. However, there is really nothing more that we can do but take it one day at a time. Even for those times in my life when I have been laid off, something good always came out of it, even if it did not seem likely at first.

Lisa I will definitely keep you in my thoughts and prayers.  This economy sucks and I can't wait for the day when we stop hearing of all these layoffs. My DH has been out of work for 10 months now and I wouldn't wish that upon anyone.

Oh, jeez, Lisa!!  You MUST be feeling stressed right now - I can't even imagine.
