Hello Good People,

First I would like to thank everyone for their support. I had the great fortune to be blessed with two wonderful women, Kitty99ny and Sugar Free Candie.   These ladies are awesome - not only did they take out the time to email and call, but they paid a visit to me in the hospital. I really want all of the OH family to know how grateful and touched I've been because of their genuine acts of thoughtfulness and kindness to me and my family.  The surgery went well for the exception of the awful gas that followed, but in all everything went well. Unfortunately, I can't tolerate any protein shakes or any of the other food items that I bought (dang), that money could have gone toward to my new wardrobe.(lol)  At present, I've lost 28 lbs thus far and I am also using the WII fit.  So far, my friends and family have been ecstatic about wls they told everyone WTH! I will post some before and after pictures as soon as one of my daughters shows me how.  Sorry for the long posting. Thanks again.

CeCe;

Glad to hear you are doing so well. I know the gas can be a beast but it will pass. Keep up the good work. Take it slow and easy!

All the best!

Cece -

I'm glad to hear things are going well!!  Sugar Free Candy will have sporadic internet access through tomorrow, but I know she'll be happy to see you posting.

Wait a couple of weeks and try the protein shakes and other items you bought again.  Sometimes, there's no rhyme or reason to why something agrees with us or doesn't.  It may help you to write things down - like, "Week 2 - scrambled eggs, NO!" sort of as a way to track things.

28 pounds is AWESOME!!!  Keep up the good work!

CeCe - why can't you tolerate the protein shakes - taste, GI issues?
There are some people who never touch a protein shake during their weight loss - its just my quick way of getting protein and they're not too bad for my liking...
You are doing great - keep it up!

Hi E,

Thank you, I don't know what happen before wls I could drink them with no problem but after wls the protein gave cramps and diarrhea, hope that wasn't too much tmi but that's what happened . So the NUT told me to get it from foods.

Congratulations!!! you seem to be doing good. I can't take protein shakes, even after a year and a half from surgery. I use protein supplements if I need to add some to my day.

Thank you,  I found this website  with protein counter and recipes. I just wish I hadn't bought all that stuff, by the way I really enjoyed reading your web page.
