3 THINGS FOR TUESDAY!!

Good morning!! Um....someone check the calendar....it IS spring, isn't it?  BRRR!!!!!

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  My brother - Today is my brother's 36th birthday.  I remember when I found out I had a baby brother, I was kind of ticked - I wanted a sister!!!  36 years ago, siblings couldn't visit the hospital, so I had to be content with standing on the lawn of Sinai Hospital with my granny, waving up to Mom and Gary.  The next day was my 6th birthday, and Mom (whom I've always said was WAY ahead of her time), sent a present out with a nurse from the baby to me!!  I still have it somewhere - it was a little milk glass dish filled with little bluebird soaps (Avon)!!  On the day we brought him home, he was all bundled up in a blanket, and Mom said I leaned over the front seat to look at him and said, "Hey!!  Where's his ears??!!"  To my relief, Mom pulled the blanket down and showed me that no, she hadn't brought him a mutant, he did, in fact, have ears!!!  He was the CUTEST baby boy - bald, huge blue eyes and when he laughed, he sounded like a lamb baa-ing!!!!  I was SOOOO entranced, I couldn't wait to get to kindergarten and tell everyone that I had a new baby brother.  Mom said I used to drive her nuts by waking the baby EVERY single morning because I wanted to play with him!!  We grew up to be very close, Mom and Dad instilled in us the sense that family is everything, and you take care of each other.  To this day, that's exactly how we feel about each other.  I have wonderful girlfriends and plenty of male friends, but my brother and I consider ourselves each other's best friends.  Of course, he's given me the two greatest gifts a brother could give a sister, and will tell anyone who'll listen that he doesn't know what he'd do without me.  And there's not a doubt in my mind that were the situation reversed, he'd do the same for me.  He's a good, kind, decent man, a willing guinea pig for my cooking, an outstanding father and a hard worker. He and I share the same quick wit, the same bizarre sense of humor and often can tell what the other is thinking and can finish each other's sentences - sometimes with just a glance!!   I wouldn't give you .02 for his housekeeping or organizational skills, but he was then and remains to this day, the absolutely best birthday present I've ever received!!

2.  Dr. Michael Clisham - My foot doctor!!  Right now, because I'm feeling no pain, this man is a GOD!!!!!  LOL!!!  He was so happy to see me yesterday - I hadn't needed to see him in about 10 years, and he took care of me right away with a pain-free cortisone shot and sent me off to buy Spenco shoe inserts.  I need to see him next week, but this a.m. - NO PAIN!!  Cross your fingers!!

3.  That Darla finally got her head unstuck and saw a specialist!!!!  I've been so worried about her, and thus, have been beating on her unmercifully to take better care of herself.  She really doesn't, and I haven't quite figured out why!!!  She's taken the first step, which makes me really happy, but she needn't think the harassment is gonna stop!!!!

Okay everyone, have a wonderful day!!!

Hugs,

Tia

Good Morning

It certainly still feels like winter :  Cuddles had to go out before I left for work and the poor baby
was shivering when we got back inside :  I'm so glad I have not had her Spring haircut done yet LOL

Today I am grateful for:

1.  My visit with the Dr yesterday:  Yes Tia I am stealing your # 3 LOL:  Feeling
really good about the visit and have hopes that I will be off the coumadin by
the end of May!!!!  it all depends on the results of the 12 vials of blood they took
yesterday .  Crossing my fingers XXXX

2.  That I was able to get my turn signal fixed yesterday after the Dr appt.

3.  For Tia :  even if she does harrass me :  Obviously I need it

4.  for all of you:  I love the support  and friendship I find here everyday.

Have a great day everyone!!!

Thanks, Julie!!!  Yes, my brother's a great guy and yes, he's KB's Dad.

Trust me, I've BEEN pushing Darla for months....years!!!!!  She knows I do it cause I love her.

Haven't heard anything about my Dad yet.  He was told he'll get a letter from his cardiologist, so we're waiting on that.  I have to assume that everything's okay or we would've gotten a phone call.  Thanks for asking!

Have a great day!

Morning Nessa!!

You LIVED in NY?  I don't think I knew that.  Actually, if we did fight as children, it must not have been too bad, because neither of us can remember!!

Amen, I'm glad MY foot doesn't hurt!!!  Did they replace the crown?  I go in 2 weeks for 2 crowns.  SIGH.

Um................how long will Harley continue to grow?  And more importantly, how BIG will he get???

Hmmm.....wonder if your cold will compromise the pulmonary testing?  Might wanna check.  But hopefully, it'll be gone before then.

Crossing my fingers for YOUR B!!!

Hugs,

T
