Had a great Bday weekend

Hi all,

My bday isn't til wednesday but i visited my parents in south jersey to celebrate. I had a great time. we went to this restaurant called Los Amigos. They have awesome margaritas and food. So good! I've decided to not drink for a month but after that, I am so having a margarita party. I got the recipe for theirs and it is sooooo good.

then sunday we had a big italian dinner with fourteen people total. It was alot of work but alot of fun. My mom always tries to do too much but i've come to accept that now and just help as much as possible. otherwise, she gets a little nuts! I did get a couple good gifts and my parents got me this sunlamp and a steam mop and some other little things. Oh and money for a new dishwasher! We ate homemade (dad) cavatelli's which are a dumpling made w/ ricotta. We also had tons of hors d'oeuvres (i looked up the spelling online). 

So all in all, my weekend was a success. Hope everyone had a good one.

Spoiled brat!!!  Of course Emma is withholding the present until your bday!!!!!  Silly!!!

Well, I'm working, of course, bosses are taking me out to lunch to Jilly's in Pikesville, tomorrow is my brother's bday, so we'll celebrate that, and then mine on Wednesday.  NOT a good caloric week for me, especially since after I get home today, I'm making brother a homemade carrot cake with orange cream cheese frosting!!  GRRRR!!!!

i am spoiled, i admit it lol. yea it's hard to keep the calories down during celebration time! i'm going to try to keep the calories lower so i can enjoy wednesday. try ur best to use moderation and u'll be fine. love ya and send me some of that carrot cake.

Good morning Nicole, Glad to see you had a great weekend the food sound so good. The dumplings sound very dangerous.... The new dishwasher sounds good  as well as the sunlamp. I hope you have a great bday week.....Your momsounds like a special woman....

Hi Julie, dumplings definitely need to be eaten with care, especially after surgery. but i did good w/ it. didn't overeat. i have to go shopping for a dishwasher now and hopefully will find something i can afford. my mom is special and always working hard. thanks!
