Hello.
I am attending Sinai for my WLS. Is ther anyone out there that will be having surgery at Sinai or if you have already received the WLS at Sinai? I would like to talk to you about your journey.

Hi there,

I didn't use Sinai but I believe there may be some people on the board that have.  I just wanted to welcome you to the Maryland Board.  It's pretty dead on the weekends but will pick back up again on Monday.

Hi!

I'm just starting my journey as well.  We are actually in the same doctor's office.  I'll be getting my surgery with Dr. Gandsas.  I'm starting to schedule my pre-op appointments.  A lot of them will be completed by the end of April.  The remaining appointsments will occur in May.

How do you feel about getting WLS?  I'm excited, but also a little apprehensive.  I haven't got up the nerve to tell my family about the surgery.  I guess I'll know when the time is right.  I actually would love to do it now, but I don't want to hear anything negative about what I'm about to do.

Hello.
I am seeing Dr. Li. I have completed all of my pre op appointments. I am also very excited and afraid of what the insurance is doing. My case worker for United Healthcare said that I didn't have to do the 6 month nut. I turned the psh, letter, and cardi in to here and now she want the sleep study.

Lisa, Everyone on the boards is here to give support to other members. You will find the nicest, most caring people, that know exactly what you are going through. Now is not the time to hear negative opinions. The choice is yours, and Dr Gandas will not steer you wrong. You have a excellent surgeon, follow his advice above others. Good Luck, and enjoy some peace with with any decision you make. Leslie :)

Hello.
Congrats on your life change. Is that surgery the sleeve? How do you feel? I am very excited about the surgery? I will be glad when it is my day. How long did it take for you to get approved? I hope that we will talk again. I am not sure if I'm working the post right.
