The habit is a lot easier to break after surgery.  I was on a two week liquid diet that forced me to break that habit before surgery.  (I wonder if that's part of the reason they make us do the liquid diet!)

Good luck on breaking that habit.  As a former smoker and eater, I know how hard it can be!

Yesterday I did well up until last night my sons GF had to bake brownies so I got in trouble. I had 2 eggs for breakfast and then a Ledos salad for lunch. I drank almost 100 oz yesterday. The brownies were to die for. Today I must be so good. I never realized how sugar really tasted till last night. After not having it for 10 weeks wow what a powerful may I call it drug. So addicting....I hope I can leave it alone.. I dont know if the brownies or sugar kept me awake last night but one of the devils did....

Julie-  That sugar is NOT your friend.  Step away from the brownies.  Talk to us instead!  :)

(Seriously, be strong...  you CAN do this!)

Julie -

If you eat that little, your body will go into starvation mode and hang onto every last ounce of fat!!!  Even AFTER wls!!!!!

If you're not sure what you should be eating to help you lose pre-op, you need to see a nutritionist or registered dietician.

You need to be somewhat healthy pre-op in order to be a good post-op patient!!

Tia Thanks for the info. I am seeing a nut and have been on her food plan for 10 weeks. She said have protein for breakfast and have 3 proteins for lunch with 3 veggies. For dinner she said 3 proteins and 3 veggies. She told me not to eat any fruit unless I have it with a meal or as asnack with a handful of nuts. She said that eating fruit by itself is just like pouring sugar in  your nouth. The nut wants me to drink 100 oz water and I hate water it makes me nauseated so I have been doing Crystal Light. I have had no breads, pastas or potatoes since then. I have gave up diet sodas and it seems I dont have as many cravings. I am so confused. I see her on the 25th and I hope we can iron this mess out. I feel like i am on a merry go round and cant get off...
