3 THINGS FOR FRIDAY EVE!!

Good Morning my friends.

And a good morning it is.

My scale says I am down a few pounds.  Since I have to be at DVR office today for Ranessa I think I might beg to get on and see if their scale agrees with mine as it will be about the same time as last time I weighed.

Brian has Ranessa at 10 and I’m at 11.  I told him he has to go by himself to talk to her.  I think he’s scared.   I don’t think he knows how lucky we are we just have to talk for an hour and not take an MMPI or something.

Newest tip:   set your outlook to ping you every 5 minutes and yell at you to DRINK!

Tonite is take the puppies to the vet night.   Harley needs to get his microchip and tell the vet he knows now that he’s allergic to beef and chicken and grain.  Hannah needs to tell the vet that she’s a drooling, lethargic uncoordinated, fool on her new  seizure meds (she’s fine on JUST Phenobarbital but she gets dopey on the potassium BK)

Lunch with Tia yesterday was GREAT and I’m so glad she works in my part of town because I think I could easily make her my newest BFF!   She’s warm and funny and open and delightful and CUTE.

Tia,

I wish I could find someone I love to cut my hair.  I had a woman but she’s not cutting hair any more.  Then I found a lovely young girl and she moved out of town so right now I’m using the Barber down the street.  So yesterday my hair looked good… because I’m about 3 weeks past the last cut.  It ends up too too short at first.  Which makes taking care of it a blast but tends to make me look a bit butch ya know.

JULIE,

You got a GPS!  Yay!   Have fun with it.   Maybe we can meet up next weekend.. during the week is so hard for me.

Jenn,

53 pounds down is AWESOME!  Enjoy

Good Morning Darla,

You are the busiest bee I know.  Please give Cira a hug for me!

I’m grateful for:

  1. Spring
  2. Scale movement in the right direction
  3.  a good government job with security and decent insurance
  4. goofy newfie looks
  5. friends
  6. the chance to learn and grow daily

ugh I sound like a hallmark card.

Love you all!

Nessa I hope both appts good great for you and Brian. I am glad your dogs are going to talk to the vet its important for them to express themselves... I would love to meet you on the weekend but we go camping every weekend in PA. A weekday would be better maybe a quick lunch....Glad for the scale loss and you should be glad about your job. They are hard to come by... Good luck honey...

Wow Tia sounds like you are one busy woman!

Today I am thankful for:

1.  That I got out of bed and got my kids off to school. There are some who can't even get out of bed.

2.  That I made it through karate class last night listening to my neighbor yaking about herself for an hour.

3.  That my ferel cat Lucy showed up today to eat. I haven't seen her for half the week and thought she was dead.

Glad you got out of bed.. I felt like staying in bed but had to drive my son to school..I am so glad the cat showed up. I had a cat for 16 years and had to have her put down. She was a stray that we took in.  We buried her in the back yard and 2 days after we buried her I thought I lost my mind when I looked into our yard and on top of the fence above where she was buried was a cat that looked just like her. This cat comes every week now and sits above the grave. It is so creepy and I keep wondering if thats one of her family members.. Who knows but I like to think so...

Morning Mellie!!!

At least your neighbor distracted you from worrying about your karate-hubby!!!  I trust he didn't kill himself or anyone else????

Don't know how well you know her, but it creeps me out big time when people I barely know feel it's their obligation to tell me personal, private details!!!  ICK!!!  You're right - therapy time!!!!

Have a great day!!

Tia

Julie that is really creepy.  This cat got dropped off on our property around this time last year and shortly afterward had a litter of kittens. We were able to trap the kittens and take them to the Humane Society but Lucy was always too smart to get trapped so we finally gave up and started feeding her. She was skin and bones. Now shes a plump little thing. Theres another boy cat that visits with her but I think he belongs to a neighbor. Shes completely feral. She will come to the food bowl when I put it out but will never let me touch her and Im ok with that. Sorry about you losing your cat.

Oh Nessa I would have LOVED to zone out but believe me this chick will not let you. She talks constantly and its all about her life and whats happened to her in the past. I understand people need to get things off their chest but she needs a therapist or something.

Good Morning Everyone!

Heather's Dad and family remain in my prayers.

Tia - Sounds like the free Saturday and some pampering with the hair stylist is exactly what you need right now. Enjoy! You deserve a break!

Jenn - Woo-hoo! 53 lbs.! That is terrific! Congrats!

Darla - Congrats on your bowling success! Give Cira a big hug! See you at the pool tonight!

Nessa - Congrats on the scale movement! Enjoy your appointment with Ranesa today. She is an absolute joy!

When I tried to check on Angie last night around 6PM, they still did not have her in a room. Since it was obvious she was having a long day, I did not stop by and visit her. She is in a room this AM, but was not answering when I called. She could be having her swallow test or taking a walk. I will try again later and update if I speak to her.

Today I am grateful for ....

1 - A beautiful Thursday. I actually smelled Spring in the air this AM. I know we will be getting colder again overnight. But I enjoyed that unmistakable smell that Spring really is here!

2 - For the wonder of the right treatment. My foot looks great this AM. You almost can't tell that I was had any problem with it. It is amazing what the right treatment can do. I am so happy, I might even do a self pedicure or get a professional one sometime soon!

3 - Pool classes tonight - always makes me feel great!

The sad story of Natasha Richardson's death as well as stories shared my our friends on this board reinforces how important it is to make each day count. So if you aren't already doing so, please take the time to tell your loved ones how much they mean to you and live a good life today!
