You'd think I had learned

A year and a half out from surgery, I still do stupid things.

Had 1/2 cup of egg salad on an onion roll. Looked at it, knew I couldn't eat it all.

Started eating it. Got 3/4ths into it and said enough.

Didn't want to waste the egg salad so started eating more.

Now I wish I could throw up!!!

This really is a lesson you keep learnign for the rest of your life.

((( SYLVIE )))

I know, I know.  It's a constant learning process - sometimes it takes something like this to be a painful reminder.

I hope things clear up for you soon!!

Next time - LISTEN!!!

Hugs,

Tia

Loser's visualize the penalties of failure. Winners visualize the rewards of success.

Mom I hope you rest in Peace knowing that you were loved and will be missed. Keep love alive in your       heart as I know I will. You are now an           and I know you will be looking down on us from above......... I am OK.......

Wow - does this ever sound familiar!!! Although quite unpleasant when you are going to through it, it really is the beauty of the tool in action. Every time I do it, I swear I am not going to do it again, then after a while the memory fades and I do. In hindsight, I like the reminders, painful as they are. Hang in there and I hope it passes soon.

I still struggle with this daily.  It is definitely something that our tool helps us remember ...what a portion is.

Ah yes, this happens to me regularly too---about once a week---especially when eating out----I usually just go vomit a bit up as I am too full---usually it happens for me though when it involves meat or undercooked veggies- that feeling won't go away until I barf.  I have had to hurl up filet mignon from Shula's Steakhouse----it was just so tasty- I over did it.  That was an expensive barf--- although I only get out what was the overload---not the entire meal.  With grains or pizza---the uncomfortable feeling will pass in about 10-15 minutes without barfing---but the meats will keep me uncomfortable for HOURS- so I just get it up sooner rather than later.  I know better but it just happens sometimes.  Thankfully  "my tool" still keeps me in check with portion size.
