Happy Weekend! Did Everybody.......

have a good one? Even though the rain set in yesterday, my weekend was good. Saturday, the hubby & I woke up early & headed out to some local yard sales. However, since they were the first of the season, they seemed to be duds! I was really excited about one, it had Longaberger baskets listed, and when we got there, there was 2! And they were NEW baskets prices! But the day ended with shopping in real stores!! I picked up some really cute baby clothes for a family member who is due any minute. I also got to spend some time with 2 year old God daughter! That was very precious time to me!
Today, is our lazy day! I slept in....... am getting ready to cook breakfast for the family.....and then the rest of the day is up in the air.
 Overall our weekend  was good!  I hope everybody had a good weekend as well!

Thanks for posting. The weekends are dead on the board and really that is the only time I really have to get on besides night.  Sounds like you had a productive and good weekend. Yesterday nothing exciting for me. My husband and I went to Annapolis to get the windshield of my vehicle replaced it cracked all the way accross from a small crack due to cold weather. Then stopped at Panara Bread and got a salad and soup for take out then home to watch movies.  Today, went to the grocery store yippee!! I actually hate to go now because I miss the pastries so bad at times!!  Now home just chillin.

   Wow, sounds like fun! What movies did ya watch? I wanted to tell you that I got your message, and I have saved your info! Are you into any of the basket or vera bradley bingos? Aside from shopping thats another addiction I have! If you are ever interested, let me know! Theres a VB one coming up on the 27th in Chestertown @the firehouse.
But otherwise, the shopping trip sounds great!

Hello to all. This has been a rough weekend my older son and I got in a arguement because he was diagnosed with high bp. I tried to tell him being 60lbs overweight and using salt doesnt help. He dosent want to listen to me and the doc wants him on meds. I asked him to ask the doc if he can lose weight and try diet 1st he said if she wanted him to do that she would have told him. I love him dearly and just wish he would try natural things 1st. He said since I am obese its hereditary for him to be overweight. I have been dieting for 9 weeks and have lost 13lbs so I told him I am trying to get healthy. It just hurt my feelings so bad. I did get up to my RV in PA and I raked some damp leaves and started to build my rock wall. I hope this week will improve..... Take care and enjoy the weekend time left..

I am so sorry Julie that you and your son had an argument.  How old is your son if you don't mind me asking? Sometimes kids tell their parents things without even thinking that they are hurting our feelings. 

I do hope your week is better.

Cira he is 26 has a good job and a nice girlfriend who I let move in due to her mother having serious issues. She is like a daughter that I never had. I tried to explain to him about weight, diet , exercise and how it relates to blood pressure.I tried to explain that look what I have struggled with and I said do this now before its to hard later. He just doesnt understand and thinks the docs are always right. I think he should try a food change and exercise plan before he jumps onto bp pills. I said try it for a month and see what happens. His bp is high when he goes to the doc but normal at home. Yesterday he did try to eat better and only had 1 soda. I said small steps baby and I love you no matter what. I told him you and your brother are my. He is a typical stubborn man!!! I wont give up though and I told him I will try to help him till one of us are not here on this earth......Its my job as his mom... I know he will come around........Thanks and I did have a nice time raking leaves. I got rid of alot of anger and stress. I hope you are doing well and I know you miss your kids.. Vacation????? Hmms..... the Outer Banks is calling my name! I go there several times a year.....actually got married on the beach in Rodanthe down there.....have you seen the movie "Nights in Rodanthe", with Richard Gere? In the end of the movie, they are on Rodanthe pier, and we could see the house we had when we got married! OK, sorry I got side tracked! LOL
Anyways, maybe an OH  short vacay to the OBX???????
