Oh, geez!!!  I knew that was gonna freak you out.  See my response to Julie.  It hurts, but it's not unbearable.  It's just....different, I guess, because the needle has to go deeper.  I had it done at the pulmonary function lab at Franklin Square Hospital during my pulmonary function test.

Trust me, it's not like you're gonna be writhing in pain on the floor, but you WILL be saying, "Dammit, Tia, I HATE it when you're right!!"

Again, Nessa, A MEANS TO AN END!!!  I find it hurts less if you don'****ch!!!!  Seriously.

ya know what Tia.

I survived metal implanted into my ankle which as far as I know is the absolute worst pain I have ever had and I've had 2 kids by c-section and my tonsils out as an adult.

I'm not a pain wuss after I had the metal removed from my ankle I WALKED out of the recovery room and 3 days later had 17 for thanksgiving.

Thanks Tia I remember my hubby having an arterial line put in for chest surgery and he said it was painful I was wondering was this the same test. I to am like nessa I guess you can say a high pain tolerence. I dont mind tests its just the worry of having them done and not knowing how they are done.I guess we shouldnt ??? what the docs want but I just cant help it...

yes brian is my (much younger) husband.
and yes we both are going to have the surgery.
sadly brian needs it more than I do and he has asked to go first because he's afraid if he sees me sick afterwards he will back out...
