i just have to say i am so disappointed. no one showed. that is so ****** up.

I'm really sorry.  I should've emailed you and I apologize.  I'm still working on a big investigation and had every intention of typing more tonight, so I knew I wouldn't be able to make it.

Unfortunately, when I was on my way home, my Mom called me and said my nephew, who's been sick all week, was in the throes of an asthma attack.  I was literally seconds away from their house, so I swung by, picked him up and took him to the hospital.  I stayed there until his parents got there, then I picked Kaity up from my parents and now we're at her house, waiting to hear.

I'm disappointed FOR you, and will honestly try to come and bring reinforcements to your next one.

Oh sweetie!! Ia m sorry that no one showed up.  Don't give up!!!  Like you have been told before it will take some time to build it and I know that people will come.  I wish I was there to give you a hug. 

I am currently getting a support group to meet online for support since I can't seem to get people to commit to come to mine.

Nicole, I'm so sorry no one showed.  I wish I could have made it, but of course I'm working and just took off last night for the damn sleep study.  Don't give up and please don't take it personally!! *hugs*

Nicole, I am so sorry you had such a turn out for your initial meeting. I do think it may take some time to build up a base of folks to come. I wonder if it would be helpful to post some notices in some other places besides this board, i.e. Bariatric surgeons offices, bariatric hospital groups, community newspapers, the community board at the library, etc.

I think your group is a great idea. I plan to come one of these times when my schedule allows. As I mentioned before, I knew I could not make it this time.

I hope you decide to give it another shot. It is a good thing to do this.

I'm so sorry.  The same thing happened to the one that Deb started here for the Eastern Shore people. It's only been me and her for the past 2 months.  Then this month I haven't even heard from Deb.  I know she is disappointed.  It's so much work trying to plan a topic and info to share with participants.  I hope it works out for you!

What a disappointment. I am so sorry for all the work you put into this. Don't give up.
