I'm polling you all to see if  anyone has frequented any of the Goodwills in Maryland.  I've read and heard that they vary in quality based upon the neighborhoods that they reside in.  If you have, what was your experience?

Thanks,
Heather

Hey Heather:
I love my neighborhood Goodwill.  I would think that they may vary, but the one that I shop in Talbot County is great.  I have bought many designer clothes.  Just picked up a Talbots blazer this week and a Liz skirt. I've picked up many items that are brand new and still have the tags on them all priced from $3 - $5.  Polo, Old Navy, Worthington.  I've been buying all my transition clothing from there.  When I come to work, people always say, you look so nice and I tell them, $5 from Goodwill.
The only piece of clothing that I really went out and spent some money on was a pair of Baby Phat jeans.  I told myself that once I was able to fit into jeans I would do that and now they are too big.  I'm getting ready to send them to consignment, but I was so happy to be able to wear that designer name on my behind!  LOL.

The one in Easton is pretty good. I have had much luck in there. It is a lil cluttered, but other that it is nice. There's one in Middletown, DE. that is really nice too......they have an awesome selection! The one in Elkton is pretty good too.....I found some nice baby phat outfits in there!
Geez.....after reading my post, I sound like I am addicted to Goodwill
Heather.... if you ever wanna go shopping, let me know as we do not live too far from one another! I love to shop !!!!!!!

Hey Heather:
I haven't tried either one of those yet, but will have to.  I am addicted to Goodwill shopping.  I go once a week.  I guess there could be worse addictions.

I don't go often but there is a big one in Reisterstown  and when i've gone there is always a lot of stuff but i think it costs a bit more than other goodwill stores.

So far I have only been to the one in Perry Hall, which I did not think was too big. I have driven by the one in Belair and have been meaning to check it out

I've been to the Belair one that Debbie mentioned.  Nothing to get excited about.  I think what it is is that the Salvation Army and Goodwill sell clothes that were given to them in that region, and therefore if you're in a well to do area - the clothes are going to be nicer.

The Salvation Army down the street from my house has clothes but they are like Kmart level stuff - not putting anyone down because I shop there too.  The pretty clothes I think I've found them out on Liberty Road - by what's that B name road?  There was a fire there a while back, but I don't know if they kept it open afterwards?

I've had some luck at the Goodwill in Millersville (I think that is where it is .. on Veterans Hwy).   I've had better luck (but the prices are a bit higher) at Partners in Care in Pasadena (corner of Ritchie Hwy & east/west blvd).   PIC has funky hours .. I think they close at 4 most days, but might be open til 7 p.m. on thurs & friday evenings.   Haven't been to the Goodwill in Annapolis or the new one up at Jumpers Hole yet.

I'm 5 years out and still shop at thrift stores and clearance racks!!!  I'm always up for a bargain.

Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!
