Darla That a great story about your dad. Thanks for sharing. I wish my dad was still here but the whiskey bottle was more important to him than us. I am glad I did not turn out to be an alcoholic. I say enjoy every moment you have with him.. They are PRICELESS... Tell him Happy B-day from me too.

Darla - that's so great about your dad. I ORDER you to enjoy every moment you have with him! My dad died suddenly back in 2004 and I've just never gotten over it, being the Daddy's girl I was.
To this day, I still regret not having told my dad that I was coming down to visit, and there are times where I feel like if I wasn't so gung-ho about surprising him, and actually planned ahead with him that he wouldn't have died that weekend.
I miss him very dearly. I had a thumb imprint made of my dad's thumb made into a charm (they call them Thumbies) I wore that to my graduation from Morgan in 07; and also wore it pinned to my wedding dress for the wedding.
Not a day goes by that I don't think of him. He wasn't a perfect father, he was FAR from perfect, but he was my dad.

Happy Hump day to you... I love your # 3. That just melted my heart that is a rare sight with a teenager. I know cause I had three!!! lol You are so blessed.
I am so glad to see you posting. It has definitely put a smile on my face.
Today I am grateful for:
1. Getting home 1/2 an hour earlier than the past week and a half.
2. the love I get from my children when I walk in the door. They miss me so much and little that they know that I miss them terribly and I am still having a hard time with leaving them. sniff sniff
3. For my OH family that constantly brings happiness to see that they are all doing great.
I miss you all terribly!
