In doing so, I have bought 2 bariatric cookbooks off Amazon. The first one is "Recipes for life after WLS" by Margaret Furtado, and the second is "eating well after wls" by Patt Levine. I have only glanced thru them since they just arrived today, but so far, I like what I see. I am actually going to make one of the dishes for a family dinner tomorrow night.
I love to cook, and to try new things, and my hubby says I own way too many cookbooks.....lmao.....but if anyone knows of any other ones, please let me know.
And I am looking for smoothie recipes....I have a few but am looking for more!
Thanx!

That is great that you are preparing yourself!
I hope the family enjoys the dinner.  Let me know how it goes.  I am soooooooooooo excited for you!

Yes there are several cookbooks. I found these on Amazon, and they had several others. There were also some listed on Ebay. And actually, the prices were really good. I bought 3 books from Amazon, and including shipping, I paid roughly $32......which I thought was great!

Margaret Furtado is one of the nutritionists for the Johns Hopkins surgery group.  I've seen her one of my three visits and really liked her.  I didn't realize she'd written a cookbook, that's awesome!

Yes! I was supposed to meet with her initially, but when my knee surgery was scheduled & I had to re-schedule my NUT appointment, I didnt get to meet with her! I was actually kinda disappointed!
The book is GREAT!!!!!! I was really impressed with it! Amazon has it cheap!

I bought the "Eating Well after WLS" book. I like how it really guides you through the different stages (mush, solids, etc). It should be very useful.

I didn't know Furtado wrote a cookbook. I might have to check that out too!
