bottom line.. AWESOME!

details

1. the new office is so darn close to work it's perfect. it's large and bright and nice. I walked in and saw seats meant for fat folks. one of the things WLSFD says is to see if the doctor and staff are considerate of people of size. I was impressed. LARGE bathrooms. Large doors. WIDE chairs Smiling faces and friendly people.

2. we FORGOT TO PAY OUR COPAY! i'll get it next time along with our program fees. (oh and I adore that folks can pay out their program fee not that we need to but i think that's a very very cool thing he's done)

3. Did you all know Sloane has written a book (well a journal) http://www.barigoodlife.com/
it's not cheap but maybe 12 of us could chip in and buy a case??? she's not selling them at the office (yet)

4. I easily met 40 BMI I've gained 50 pounds (well i never weighed at home with clothes on) but i was 256 and brian was 456.... I'm to loose some weight (I can lose 20 and still be at 40 bmi) and bri is to lose 25 before surgery

5. i don't need a chest xray (just had one) or sleep study (had one 2 years ago) do need all the other tests

6. bri needs all the tests AND a venous doppler of his legs.

insurance coinsurance is 5k for family, i'm thinking we are going to make that easy this year!

Glad everything went well. I had to have the veinous doplar too. The noises are weird but the test is a breeze.

I don't know if I qualify as a long timer yet. I am only on my second year. My next appointment is at 18 mos. (I saw him at 1 year) and then it will be annually after that. I am planning on sticking with it an dseeing him annually after that, at least for now. My primary care MD is also knowledgable about WLS.

oh yay and congrats to you both!!! so you went to the new office?!?!?! i have only been to the old one!! i go to the new one on the 25th yay im excited to see it!!!

so how many months of supervised weight loss do you have to do before surgery??? my insurance is makin me do 6 months!!! so July will be my last month and then hopefully i will start the process to have sergery!!! i am hopin that part wont take to long!!!!
