I see alot of people talking abou****er exercise classes. Can anyone tell me where they are located? Do you have to belong to a gym to go to them? Just curious..

I get them at my gym as part of my membership
do you have a local YMCA or community center with a pool?  I'd check there.

I take them at the gym I have a membership at but I know the Y has classes and
there are Kids First  swimming pools ( not sure if there is one near you or not).

They are great :  easy on the joints and good cardio if you take an aeobics class.

Everyone has already mentioned the places I would have suggested. I just wanted to add that I feel like I can do so much more in the water than I can on land. I also happen to love the water and missed it. This gives me a chance to do something that I love that is good for me. I always seem to get a siginificant boost in my weight loss/management after the water classes. That might just be me, but it sure keeps me motivated!

I hope you can find some place that is convenient for you so that you can try it. Diversity in exercise is a good thing.

Julie,

I see that you're in Crofton so I'm not sure whats available down there.  I go to Kids First Swim Club in Perry Hall.  I just pay $6.00 per class......no commitment.  My mom goes to the classes through the community college.  Its definitely worth looking into....its a nice change of pace from the cardio machines at the gym!

Thanks to all *****sponded. I will look into places around this area. We have a gym close by and their membership is 45.00 a month. You cant just go to classes.
