*PERK* Did someone say Rheb's? My all-time fave place on earth!!! Okay, so maybe I exaggerate a LITTLE!!!
Let me just say this....this. No, seriously, although Rheb's does, in fact, carry s/f candy, it's NOT their brand. I kind of went back and forth with a poster several years ago about this, and I was SO excited to think that Rheb's was making their own that I called them. The lady I spoke with told me that they DO make the s/f chocolate covered nuts and barks in-house, but the creams and other filled s/f candies are the Asher brand. She also told me that in Baltimore candy stores, MOST of what you'll find s/f is, in fact, Asher's. SIGH. A girl can hope.
Have you tried the Asher s/f fudge melt-aways, Julie? They're good!!!!
We're going to Rheb's to get our Easter candy the last weekend in March. WOO-HOO!!! Sadly, the Lexington Market stall closed, so now we'll have to go to Wilkens Avenue.
