YOUR agenda for NYC!!!!
Okay, so now that the details are firmly established and some of us have our reservations, tell me, what do YOU want to do up there?
Obviously, there are lots of shows - some of which can be pretty pricey, but you can actually get good deals at the ticket kiosks or by going right to the theater box office.
Generally, when we go to NYC, we take a carriage ride through Central Park (carriages run between $40-50 + tip, and each carriage will only take 4-5 people), the places we eat at are usually Carnegie Deli (you can share, but they charge you $3 pp) and Carmine's (we'd need reservations but it's family style, so we HAVE to share), we window shop up 5th Avenue, stopping in the HUGE Disney Store, FAO Schwarz Toy Store, St. Patrick's Cathedral, we usually stop for coffee in the Chocolate Cafe in Saks, stroll over to Rockefeller Plaza (although to be honest, I've only been up there at Christmas, so there's no tree now!). I've been to Little Italy, via Chinatown, and honestly, was impressed with neither.
I've been to Ground Zero - it's awe inspiring, I've been to Macy's - again, awe-inspiring, but in a totally different way, I've been to the top of the Empire State Building (been there, done that, don't need to do it again), and I've ridden the Staten Island Ferry, which was WAAAAAY cool.
I've ridden the red, double-decker Gray Line Tours bus and taken a smaller "party" bus - it's a smaller group, a walking/riding tour of practically the whole city.
So, tell me, what do YOU want to do? If enough people feel like they want to take a bus tour, I'll look into some prices. If not, everyone can do their own thing!!!
I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a cousin who lives in NY. I could email her and ask for suggestions too.
Well, all of my rambling really does not add up to much at all, now does it?? I am a waste!
Yes, by all means, ask your cousin.
Ground Zero IS kind of sad, but there's a church right in front of it, I think it's called St. John's. Anyway, that's where the first victims were taken and where a command post was set up. Incidentally, it's also the church where George Washington prayed after his inauguration, when NYC was the capitol.
What's most amazing and awe-inspiring about the church is that it was knocked off its foundation THREE times on 9/11, yet sustained no damage to the building. Truly miraculous!

What a great idea!!! BUT.......................................Lisa Z. is doing her walk in May around DC - 45-50 miles, I think. And she needs to raise $ for the fee.
SO...........................I'd REALLY like to do a 50-50/50-50, if that makes sense, with half of the 50???? going toward the Sisterhood and the half going toward Lisa.
What do you think? And you know the rules - you touched it, you own it!!!
