I did lose 5 lbs when I did the test but my cravings have doubled since doing it. I think it through my blood chemistry out of whack. Did this happen to anyone else?

  Morning, love!!!

I can't speak about the 5DPT, because I didn't do it, but I will say that I've found that things ebb and flow as far as cravings, feeling hunger, NOT feeling hunger, etc., and that not only do things change weekly, I sometimes find they change daily!

My only suggestion would be to TRY to stick to the basics, protein first, lots of water, complex rather than refined carbs, etc.

Sorry I wasn't much help, but you know me - I GOTTA say SOMETHING!!! LOL!!

Hugs,

Gail, I am experiencing the same exact thing. Didn't help that I got my period last week, and for the past year or so, my cravings during that time of the month have been out of control. But, I lost weight, my cravings got worse and I gained the weight back since the 5dpt. This  morning I'm down a few, but we'll see if that lasts.
Hugs!

My cravings stayed away for a bit but they are there now. I think it is all in my head. I am not physically hungry. I just think about food a lot. I seem to be able to keep it from getting too far out of control. But I still get mad at myself at this constant back and forth of the same 5-10 pounds. I think I am face-to-face with the complexities of what food has always meant to me and how and why I use it. I feel like I have to work through all of this to get to a place where I am happy. Don't get me wrong, i am still very glad that I went down this path. I just have unfinished business to resolve with myself. It can be quite frustrating!

while i've not had my surgery yet  I did do South Beach Diet and the first 2 weeks are mostly lean protein and veggies.   I found that it took about 8-10 days before my cravings were really gone...

not sure if 5 days or 7 even will do it.
