Today was the last visit with my PCP for my 6 month supervised diet! She is still happy with the progress I have made & the changes that I have implemented into my life {even tho I have gained 10 pounds since my knee surgery on 1/27!!!!!!!.....but I have not been able to move, ummm....is that an excuse????}
So...... here's my checklist:

~6 month supervised diet : check
~surgical consult: check
~NUT consult: check
~psych eval: check
~Informational session & support group: check
~referral for surgery: check
~EKG, chest xray, & final labs: check {done today!!!!}
~started making lifelong changes {diet, exercise, and trying new & oh so yummy protein foods!!!}: check
~kept sanity: to be determined

So now we're just waiting for my labs to come back & my PCP to send her final report to Dr. Magnesun's office so they can submit to insurance!

So..... I THINK I have my ducks in a row...... did I miss anything???????? I guess now its just the waiting game, huh?

That's awesome, Heather!!!!  I remember feeling so relieved once everything was done pre-op.  I am one of the lucky few who had no problems with insurance approval (mine was instantaneous), etc., so my waiting was just waiting for the surgery date.

Don't worry, there'll still be things to think about and do before then, and of course, you have crazy us to help keep you distracted!!!

Keep us posted!!!

Hugs,

Tia

They said the approval could take from 48 hours to 45 days.....once it gets sent in! And I am thinking it will be sent in sometime next week! ~fingers crossed~
