3 THINGS FOR TUESDAY!!!!!

Good Morning All...and I only say "Good" because I decided to play hookie today and am working from home again!!    I didn't get much work done from home yesterday because we lost our power for several hours and then soon after it came back on we lost our cable/internet.  I knew that if I went into the lab I would be bombarded with questions and wouldn't be able to get anything done!  Anyways...

Today I'm grateful:

1.  That although we lost power yesterday, it was only for a relatively short amount of time and our gas fireplace worked while it was out (we ran out of propane soon after the power came back on, however).

2.  For my furbabies...Mike was up 'til all hours so I had all 4 dogs in the bed and was WARM!!

3.  For an understanding family.  I have 5 sisters, 4 neices and 3 nephews and sometimes it's really hard to keep everyone's birthday straight and to remember to send things to them on time.  I'm probably the worst at it since I don't have kids but most of the time they let me slide, even though I feel terrible.

Have a great day everyone!

Hey girl!!!

Yes, indeed, it's a good morning when you're working from home!!!  With the four babies, you'll NEVER be cold!!!

I don't have that many family members to keep track of, but there always seem to be a lot of other special dates I should remember, so I mark them all in my 2 year planner and at the beginning of each month, buy all the cards I need for that month.

Buying gifts for all of those people can get expensive, too - maybe you and your sisters should plan a get-together every couple of months; although I know they don't all live locally, if you planned one in January and maybe one before the holidays, you could all concentrate on just having fun and not worry about gifts!!  Just an idea!!

Have fun working from home!

Hugs,

T

Heh heh...I'm sitting on a heating pad right now to keep myself warm.  Have to keep the heat down for budget reasons so you know I'm FREEZING!!

Wow...you are organized.  That sounds like something that might work well...buying all the cards once per month.  I should do it at the beginning of the year and then set reminders on my Outlook Calendar so that I get online reminders.  I'm better than I used to be, but I forgot my nephews 1st birthday, which I THINK was February 22nd.  It does take a couple of years to get new b'days ingrained.  LOL!!

It gets mega expensive to buy gifts for everyone and sometimes it's just a token but I figure it's the thought that counts!!

I'm back!  and Tia - I work in Procurement so I conduct the prebid conferences for contractors to look around at site conditions for their bidding purposes.  The project involves improving their existing fuel tank systems.  I get competitive bids from those contractors when the bids are due.  It's a fun job!  :)

Diet by digestive upset - been there, done that, threw up on the t-shirt!!!!  Did you share or keep it to yourself?

Luckily, for my band health, it was just LOWER GI upset, which was GREAT because prior to it I was "behind" schedule! LOL  Thankfully I was the only one sick.  Lacie did have two blowouts and was extra gassy, but not sure if it was related.  Speaking of Lacie, I need to get you girls over one night to visit!
