Maybe go to the lapband meeting.  You'll still be among your "peers" - and maybe others who missed the RNY meeting will be ther as well.

I can't make it that night, I scheduled tonight as my Monday off this month, so I can go... I will have to wait until I am a post-opper to go!

I'm so sorry we had to cancel tonight.  You are welcome to go to the other meeting as the other poster stated.  I worry someone will be hurt driving to a meeting during bad weather or on the walk from the car to the building.
