strange chest x ray

anyone ever had a strange chest xray come back?  they said every thing is good, no enlarge heart, no fluid anywhere no nothing, noramal size heart they say.  But then they say, it has a somewhat strange configurement with some prominece at the cardiac apex level.  Doctor has not said anything to me at all, but that just sounds strange to me.  Anyone no what the heck that means or what.   Im worried thats going to keep me from my surgery.  I mean  i am a heathy 29 year of, no high blood pressure, ekg was normal, heart not enlarged, never had any health problems in past.  This really worries me.  I think i am really going to start worring now.

Jen, Dont panic let the docs explain what that means. If you start to stress you will drive yourself crazy.... I have not heard of that but I am not a medical person. You may want to try and google it and see what you come up with. I looked and it said that cardiac promince at the pulmonary artery is normal in young women. I dont know if this is the same thing that you are talking about or not. I tries but there is alot of medical talk I dont understand. I hope you will keep me posted.. Dont worry and stay calm...Stay positive...

Jen, I work in a cardiovascular practice.  At worse, they'll ask you to get en echo (ultrasound of the heart - takes 15 minutes).  A prominece doesn't entail a growth or a cardiomyopathy.  Maybe its a positional kind of thing or its shape is different then most apex (actually that would be apices) are.

I Had someone check it out and they said the bottom is slighly bigger than it shoul be and it was very common in women.  Every thing else was nomal soooooo  hopefully no other test needs to be run.
