For all of you on the Eastern Shore......
the last step in my WLS surgery approval process is the psych eval....... I have numerous suggestions across the bridge, but for me they are all like 2 hour drives........ has anyone had their eval done on the Shore & if so, where?
Any & all suggestions are MUCH welcomed.....

If you go to the one that Cira suggested (*I* gave her the number, btw - lol!!!), you have the added advantage of being right around the corner from my office!!!  Woo-hoo!!  We can have lunch!!!!!  LOL!!!

In all seriousness, there are a couple Shore girls on the board, if they don't chime in, I'll email them for you!!!!!!

Tia.....
I called yesterday & today as well, however I got no answer & as of yet, no return call.  Do  you know when she is in the office?
As for lunch, that sounds great! It would be soooo nice to actually meet instead of just seeing a pic & words on here!
If I could find one on the Shore it would be PERFECT, however, I am open for just about anywhere! The one referred by Dr. Magnesun's office, would not give me an appointment until I saw him, even tho I had a consult with Dr. Schweitzer already...... so I called back yesterday after my appointment, and they are booking for the END OF APRIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dont want to wait that long...... all my other pro-op stuff will be done within the next 2 weeks, and ready to send to the insurance company...... so , NO, I dont wanna wait till the END of April for a psych eval!
Hmmm...... did I sound a lil bitter or evil in that sentence?

She will return your call trust me she is good about that.
All the way to April that is way too long!

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

My husband and I used Dr. Robert Blatchley in Easton, MD. The office was very accomodating and he was extremely nice.

Sorry Heather, I used the one at Johns Hopkins.  Don't know of any on the Eastern Shore but I'm sure there are options!

Hi

I explained to my surgeon's office that no phsychiatrist would do one for me unless I was an established patient. They allowed me to have it done by a psychologist after I explained what I had gone through and how many psychiatrists offices I contacted.

First consult 306, pre-op visit 278, surgery date 272, current 198
