Nessa,

Congrats on your investigating. At times, this seems VERY surreal, but I also know this is the smartest thing I have ever done for myself.  It's also very emotional... but I wouldn't change it if I could.  I'm so happy to be healthier and able to do more than I could 20 years ago.

Good luck to you on  your journey of discovering what is right for you.

Ren,
First Congratulations! Going from a 22 to a 12 in less than 5 months IS amazing!  I love reading your posts because I always feel like you are posting "my story". I am horrible with words. i teach 4 year olds and so my vocabulary is well, preschool aged. LOL :) . I remember all those emotions and wondring why I wasn't totally excited and not understanding the sadness. But looking back, I feel like you hit the nail on the head. I think the sadness comes from  the feeling that it is too good to be true, and that it is going to go away, and that like the food, those clothes were something we always had. So it is emotional to give them up. But girl, LET ME TELL YOU, as long as you rock that tool, it will rock you! I started at a size 28, and this weekend i bought my size 8 wardrobe.  KUDOS TO YOU!!!!!

Oh and you want to know whats funny. Before at a size 28 I could never find any clothes in my size. Well now I can find my size but they are all too short. I am a tall girl, and I swear once I went below a 14 I think they all got 1-2 inches shorter. So it is still a pain to shop. LOL!

OMGosh! I guess it's a good thing that I'm fairly short!

I feel like I'm horrible with words too, and usually only make comments, and don't post feelings and thoughts because of that. I'm opening up. The acceptance of the OH family has really helped.

Thank you for letting me know that you too felt that way. It always makes me feel better to realize that my feelings and thoughts are "normal".

Congrats to you on the size 8!!!

Warm regards!

Awww Diane! Thank you!!   You'll get there. Just follow your Doc's prescription for weight loss and you'll be right where you want to be.

How are you feeling?
