Anyone want to volunteer with me in Fallson April 10th?

I got this email from harford county volunteer group. I think it would fun and a great workout. Anyone want to go with me?

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

 

    We are looking for individuals, groups and organizations who want to help plant trees for the seventh annual Harford County Arbor Day Celebration and Conservation Project, sponsored by Harford County Government, the Harford County Forestry Board, and the DNR Forest Service.  Join us as we plant 900 tree seedlings along Winter’s Run at Edgeley Grove Park in Fallston.  We will also be planting 112 larger trees along the Ma & Pa Trail.

 

    The Arbor Day plantings and awards ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday, April 10th at Edgeley Grove Park in Fallston. Parking will be available on site. Volunteers should bring work boots, gloves, a hammer for driving in tree shelter stakes, a shovel, and a bag lunch.  This project will occur rain or shine.  For information or to sign up for the event, please contact Betsey Greene, Planning and Zoning at 410-638-3103 ext 1359.

I have passed the info on to our Communications lady here at my job.  We're an environmental agency and do participate in some of these events.  So, hopefully the Comm lady will send the info out.  A few of the executives here are from Harford County, so it should be easy to have MES (Maryland Environmental Service) staff show up.

I am sorry I can not be there. But have a great time planting trees. I love these projects!

Sounds like fun - count me in!! The company that I work for allows us two paid volunteer days per year, so this is a perfect opportunity to serve!  -Antoinette
