Hello All,

I am having the hardest time with vitamins.  I've tried the optisource and I can no longer stomach them.  I am now trying a liquid vitamin that I can barely stand and its just a matter of time till I won't be able to stomach that either.  Can you share with me the vitamins that you are taking.    Thanks

I remember the early days of post-op-dom!!  You're right, the liquid vits are heinous!!!!  Did your surgeon say when you could swallow pills?

When initially post-op, I did the liquid Centrum (OMG!), then I tried the Liquid Oasis from Bariatric Eating (after a while - ugh!).  Now, I do a woman's multi-vit, a sublingual B-12 and 4 Citracal supplements (2 a.m., 2 p.m.).

Don't worry, this too shall pass, but it IS vital that you get your vitamins in!!!  I promise it'll get better!

Oh I remember all too well how that was in the beginning.

I used the liquid multivitamin centrum. Liquid calcium citrate made by Tropical Oasis. I also used the cewable centrum which I prefered the liquid cause it would down quicker.  After 4 months post op the doctor told me that it was ok to switch to pills and when I did everything went well.

Good luck with everything.

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.
